Queenie is what my mom and sister called me when I was little. Not really sure why. And 426 is my anniversary!

Thanks daisy! I am not a fan of mineral makeup either. It just did nothing for me. I used to use the Clinique superbalanced but it doesn’t provide enough moisture. Maybe I will try one of the ones you recommended. As far as department store brands go Clinique is one of the lowest priced. Maybe I’ll give them another go. Thanks again!

My pole is in my small spare bedroom too. There was a celing fan in the middle of the room so I took that down and capped off the electrical wires and put a cover over them so my pole is right beside that in the center of the room. The room is more narrow than I would like but it gets the job done. If I had heels on I would probably kick the wall but barefoot I have no problems. I just measured and on the two sides with the least amount of space there is 4 feet. It gets the job done.

So pretty! I am terrible at doing eye makeup. I used to do my eye makeup up all the time and then I met my current boyfriend. He told me he likes the natural look so I got lazy and just lost my makeup abilities! now I get frustrated whenever I try. This is very pretty though so ill have to try it! I feel inspired.

Yep so long as you can find a stud in the ceiling! I have an x-pole and I love it! I have carpet under it and a textured ceiling as well. It has not left any marks. I had it in the same spot for a year and moved it and you would never know it was there!

I love hooping! I actually started making hoops a few months ago! I am so excited. If anyone in the Columbus area needs one let me know! Or I could probably figure out how to ship one. Veena this is great! Woohoo!

So much great advice! I definitely was not expecting this many replies! 🙂 I think planning the dance beforehand and coming up with a little routine will help like poleangel said. Men are definitely simple creatures. Im sure making him happy will be waaay easier than I am making it out in my mind, I will be picking a short song for sure!

Thanks so much everyone! I love how supportive everyone is on here. Lots of good advice. I think it’s something I am going to have to work myself up to definitely. I know I am way more critical of myself than he is. He’s been with me this long so he must like me! I think finding the right song will be yet another challenge. Thanks again! 🙂

I have the chrome finish but its too slippery. Especially in the winter. Its not as bad in the summer but you have to be warm and the pole has to be warm to get a good grip. If I could do it over I probably would have gotten something different. Maybe powder coated or brass. I'm getting more into inverts and tricks and its really annoying!

If the ceiling is cement then you probably dont need to find a stud? At least I don't think. The whole reason you need a stud is for stability and so the pole doesn't go through the ceiling. That wouldnt be a problem with cement. Maybe I'm wrong but just a thought! I am from Columbus also! What studio did you go to? Infinity? Best of luck figuring out your pole!

Awesome. I hope I get some sort of credit or something for a replacement. I haven’t been on here for awhile so I didn’t hear about them and I am as shy as they come so I probably wouldn’t have gone anyway. I get all weird around people. Maybe next time though! I really need to break out of my shell and meet some people!

I’m going to call sometime today. The only thing is I ordered from House of Pole and not directly from x-pole so I am not sure if that will cause me a problem.
