I have been running around my house with a tape measure, the only thing with the same diameter is the neck a bottle of vodka haha.

That is tiny but it definitely be easier on my hands.

How are spins on the smaller poles? For now that's mostly what I'm working on.

My hands look about the same size as yours, I didn't realise the 50 was so big compared to the other two. That 5mm makes a huge difference.

But it's only been a week, when I went on a diet a few months ago I lost nothing to start with. Then I ignored the scales for a month and lost half stone. I don't even own scales now, I go on how my clothes are fitting (unfortunately they're tighter but that's student life).

I wouldn't worry about it just yet, these things just take time.

How hard has it been to eat 1200 calories? I want to try again, last time I gave up after 2 days 🙁

You need to add your BMR to calories burned and eat 500 less than that amount to lose 1lb a week.

As long as you calculated exercise into your BMR result then there is no reason this will harm your weight loss.

After you've put it up once or twice it's really easy to do, but like amy said you have to remember to check the joints every time.

I can't wait to see your first video and good luck! 🙂

I have the xpert but I don't take it down everyday. It's really easy to do once you get used to it and only takes me 5 minutes usually.

If you have space to store it you could take it down but keep the pole in one piece so it's easier to put back up.

So maybe they aren't as scary as I thought.

My current studio gives me a free practice session at the end of each level, which sounds a lot like the classes you described. With multiple instructors and all abilities. I will give that a go before I decide if I should switch studios or not.

Thanks for all the help 🙂

  • I had a look, there are websites selling 100 likes for $7. Supposedly it's ban proof too. Is there a way of reporting this and getting it fixed?

  • I can't believe the lengths some people will go to, it is pathetic really.

My boyfriend looks at me like I'm crazy when I say I'm not washing my hair. He'll soon change his mind when he starts going bald and I still have loads of hair. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I have the same pole as you and it didn't spin well when it was too tight. As soon as I loosened it a little it worked perfectly 🙂

That's true about the hair washing. I try to limit to 3 times a week if I can and I use sulphate free shampoo; it's better for the hair and is nice to hair dye. So my hair takes a long time to fade. I used normal colour protect shampoo once and it stripped most of the dye out in one wash. I hate to think how harsh it is on my poor hair 🙁

I am having the exact same problem, I had my hair cut to chin length and I wish I hadn't. I also bought some extensions but mine are really light (from Bobby Glam). I don't wear them too often because I dyed my hair bright red and they only match when my hair is freshly dyed  🙁

I also thought a blunt fringe would be a good idea. It wasn't so now I look ridiculous.

I'm going to have to dye it brown so the red stops drawing attention to it.

  • @Webmaster – Don't worry about it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I understand that it must be very frustrating to explain over and over again.

  • @Webmaster – I don't think I made myself very clear, I do not believe you get paid by X-pole. I just found the comment interesting (as they are trying to discredit the Veena review) and a little hypocritical on their part if they are affiliated with Platinum Stages.

    Sorry for any confusion https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
