Thanks so much MelanieDA!  I'll check those out!

I also have (I call them ski feet), and my toes are always clawing over pleasers and ellies.  I"m a 91/2 in regular shoes, but usually buy them in 8's to make up for it.

I also really like Jante.  Find they have the right arch without the claw feet.  I also buy them in 8's.

Oh, sorry Amy, I thought you were the one who had mentioned the show vs hamstring splits!  But thank you for your response.  I get it now.  I can do a jade but not oversplits so…I mist be doing the show splits then.  I'll play with both and work towards oversplits so I have as much range as possible.

    Thanks!

Just to clarify, Amy, when you say "show splits" do you mean like the spilts that Veena calls the open hip splits, as opposed to the "square" ones with the knee down?  Knee down, hammie?  Show splits, knee open?

Another thought…in response to the possibility that it might be sinus related…have you considered trying neti pot?  I know it's a bit unpleasant, but it can flush your sinuses, keeping them healthy as well as clear if you get alergy problems.  Might help with inverts as well as other things!

sensualscimitar, I'm in Canada and would love to get a brass x-stage lite.  Did they mention when the x-stages would be available?  I've been waiting with great anticipation!

I recently bought the Sony HDR-XR150 and it's been great so far.  I bought it refurbished at an outlet mall in the states and the price was seriously lower.  That's the best of it's class in the research I did.  I guess it depends what quality level you are hoping for.

I"m trying to make the same decision.  I"m very tall so, it's pretty improtant for me to get it right!

That's a little like my experience.  I learned on chrome, but when it came to buying my own, I wanted more grip so I went with titanium.  I found that I did definitely stick more with TG, but my body…not my hands.  My hands seemed slipperier…anyone else have the same experience?

I'm really interested in the statements about the 45mm being easier on the body.  I have long fingers, so the small hands thing has never been difficult on me, but my joints do take a beating.  I am also considering going to a 45mm… I am concerned about leg holds but…anyone who's experienced greater ease on thier joints, please tell me how you've found the 50mm harder and whether it is a big difference for you!

Is there any proof of the joints thing, or is it all experience?  HOw many can say they've foundt this?  Clearly, I"m interested!

    Thanks!

Hey there! I went to Canadian Tire and got these kids puzzle piece mats (probably meant for children to play on). They come in bright colours, unfortunately, but they work really well. I simply cut a circle in the middle the circumference of my pole and voila! Hope that helps.
