Hi girls….I just recieved a letter from the NZ X-Pole rep 'Lisa' in regards to my complains about my brass 45 x-pole.
I am happy to say that she was extreamly happy to help me with my concerns on the finish of the pole. I was leaning towards the fact that I would be stuck with brass concidering I had opened and used my pole. But Lisa, has heard and understood my concerns in regard to it….which is very cool I must say… She has given me another week to see if my poles grip changes with use….or she will swap it to a chrome. No questions asked!.
Thank you X-Pole NZ…now thats customer service!!
There was one other girl who spoke up on this thread saying she too had a new Brass 45 x-pole and was having body grip issues too…..How are you going now?….is your grip improving with use?? Let us know, I would love to hear from you.
Thanks girls…this thread has been sooo informative and helpful!

Thanks 'Upandova'….this sheds some light and makes me go Grrrrrr….hehe. I went to class yesterday and was able to Really compare the brass studio poles with my x-pole…X-Pole brass poles SUCK compared to them. Oh well, I'm just gonna have to find a way round it….its just, i feel that I should'nt have to do this at all…makes me a bit sad really.

Thanks 5Butterflies!! I am having exactly the same issues and am truely disappointed ahy…so sad. I am going tomake a real effort to talk to the manufacturers about this and find out id there is anything i can do to improve its finish. thanks for the heads up on the brass coating on it. The only thing i find gets me to stick is if i have a slight amount of sweat moisture on my skin to provide tackiness momentarily….if anyone sticks with their brass x-pole ok…how do you do it, do you use grip aids, or nothing at all?

Hi Shellectra…I have just bought myself a 45inch brass x-pole!! arrived a couple of days ago. I have always found brass good to use and have had equal success with sticking to both chrome and brass at my pole studio. I must say tho that I am a little worried about my new brassy pole friend! It seems to havve more of a brushed finish than the brass that I am used too, the studio poles (which ARE definatley brass) seem more polished and shiny than my xpole!! and I cant do half the stuff I can do in class on it for the dry slide I have. No pole sits, no bat holds, no scorpio gemminis at ALL can be achieved! WtF!! Did you do anything to the finish of your pole after recieving it to adjust the manufactures finish on the brass? I feel that the only thing I am going to do is to completley slather my body in Mighty Grip!!!! Help….AnYoNe??
