lol. wmm 0, vegas 1. again…. and my words of wisdom are out there https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

WMM is a crappy programme and the thing is, you can download a trial of vegas for free or torrent it if needs be.

Glad you’ve found something way better than WMM.

if the rubber on the dome is black, then they’re the fakes.

    Clear makes them genuine.

FCP has audio clean up, but it’s best to use FCS as it has the business.
We have FCS2 and it works a treat. We use soundtrack Pro2 as it’s part of the package.

FCS2 talks with Logic, so that should be fine.

Sony A1p is a good basic camera, also check out the PDX range from Sony.
We usually hire the A1P for any shoots we do, it’s reliable and is fine with finalcut.

Used to use a PD170 until our cam op left for Canada. Minimal problems there too.
Z1p is at the top of our list, along with redcams, but not quite yet…

make sure the pole goes up the knee of the bent leg.

To assist, you can hold the ankle of the bent leg to keep it bent.
I also find that the position of the pole on my thighs is important, if it’s not quite right, then I spin.

Use one hand to hold the leg, preferably your strongest, and use the other to lean back, you’ll hit a point where it just works and you’re inverted.

Took me forever and these are the tricks I use.
Also try pole sits for a bit to get the grip on your thighs.

  • My business partners boyfriend loves the pole.
Fortunately, he only ever gets to play at our studio.
So yes, it is the goofing etc.

Funny story, when setting up our poles last night, our builder got one pole up, the proceeded to go into an extended butterfly.
Yeah, he’s one of our students, but he just couldn’t wait to have a go, builders apron and all.

Street signs, kids playgrounds, flagpoles…. the list goes on.

In the interim, do lots of core workouts, strengthen your abs, obliques, tranverse abs, back and lats.
These will make a difference when you finally get to a pole.

Exercises, not in quantity, but quality will help. Do leg raises slowly to gain controlled strength.
It will hurt, but will be beneficial. Ditto pushups form the knee. I’m sure Veena has exercises on line that will help immensely too.

Good luck on getting a pole!

    lol

The local ED here has spent many nights asking" are you ok" "are you sure you’re ok" of our students.

then they say they pole dance and it’s all over, happy nurses who then ask where to go to learn.

Ergo, tell nursing staff the truth, we may get more converts!! I have a lot of nurses who pole.

BTW: My gp knows about pole due to the amount of injuries we send him as he has a Masters in Sports Med.
Apparently, he’s now at the point of just fixing the problem and sending them on their way.

Welcome to the world of pole

Its not about how much you "need" to lose to lift yourself, it’s about the strength you will build that will enable you to lift yourself. refer Pole Diva and many others like myself, who are not twigs, yet can move and spin and really work the pole. Actually, refer Pole Diva for amazing lifts, she is incredible.

It will happen, not overnight, but it will happen.
now repeat the pantene promise after me: It will happen, not overnight, but it will happen.

Welcome to the site, I hope you find all the support and friendship you could ever want and more!!

I will also admit to turning 38. As I don’t look my age, I’m happy to admit to being that old. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

My birthday was entirely overshadowed by the studio’s move.
I haven’t even really celebrated with my husband by having dinner out https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif

Thank you again, it’s very sweet, I usually hide my birthdays as I’m not normally a limelight chick.

I posted something about this a while ago.

Get up onto the pole. site, hold for 15 seconds.

Get down, fan your inner thighs until the burn goes away.

then do it all over again, but this time hold for 30 seconds.

    repeat the fanning motions.

keep doing the 15 – 30 seconds, until 15 seconds becomes really eay. then increase it by 15 seconds until you can do 10 minutes with no problems.

It will hurt, but that will go away.

  • LOL. I usually get the bored and can we go home yet look.

Unless it’s a really cool trick. Or he’s feeling frisky and I’m playing to it.

But usually it’s the um, can we do something else look.

Thus proving that the significant others in our lives can be bored of our obsession…
Soooo, you’re not alone. Don’t worry about it, I get the same look on my face with formula one and many, many women have the same facial expressions with rugby and football.

But don’t worry, when you can do something well, he’ll appreciate it.
