The V Carousel is super hard for me! I can't seem to keep up the momentum for the spin in that pose, and I can only hold my legs up for a short time. I know you're supposed to round your back and use your core muscles to lift… but I still suck at it 😛

So, don't fret! You will have little challenges, and some will be tougher to take on than others!

I've always had tight hamstrings, but there are a few tricks I've learned to get around/past that!
First, I gotta say… stretching the hamstrings is really a thing of delicacy. If you overstretch before they're ready, you'll set youself back and they'll get tighter. I learned that one the hard way.
You can always try stretching a bit in the shower. I like my showers nice and hot, so when I'm in there, I just carefully let my upper half come down and get the hamstrings to relax. Not too far at first (one of those things where it should NOT hurt at all), but after a minute or so, you'd be surprised how much difference it makes! Especially if you do it every day, or every other day. It really shows for me!

And, for any moves you might be "held back" on because of tight hamstrings, I'm sure there are other moves to work on, too! I totally agree that those amazing, flexible moves are beautiful, and I'm trying to get to them as well… but being gentle with yourself and understanding your limits, and knowing that they won't be there forever as long as you carefully move toward greater flexibility really makes all the difference! Imagine how awesome it would be to have a bunch of other moves under your belt by the time you get those sweet flexy ones, so you can create new and interesting transitions and combos because of your limitations, and your strengths?

I find the best art comes out of limiting situations. Learning to work around certain things, even as you are working to overcome those limitations, is an exercise in creativity, and can give birth to the most amazing art 🙂

Chumpchkin- I actually took "same sex" more to mean "the sex you're not normally attracted to."
Generally these things are written with a bias (so, thinking that having anal sex is "taboo" or cross dressing is something that is socially different), so I tend to just translate in my head!

Probably why my score is so low!

I generally just walk, chest up and shoulders back, but recently… my style is getting a bit slower, and a bit stronger, so I've noticed that my feet have begun to do "the drag" which also works really well in heels. Point the toe and drag it good while you're stepping into your other foot! And don't forget to really get comfortable with those hips, because it looks damn good when you drop the hip of the dragging foot (and subsequently, push up and out on the one you've got your weight on), and it does good things for your butt. 🙂

    Umm… surprisingly, I'm at $145. I didn't think I would make it past $100 for a bit there!
I agree with AerialGypsy… I CLEARLY need to be more adventurous.

And also, I don't think having sex with your best friend is a bad thing 😉 Considering I have a few best friends, and one of them is now my boyfriend… 😛

Honestly that Ebay listing should be reported if they are copies of Jamilla's work.

Pole Gal, the copies are also illegal. Generally the only reason someone doesn't "complain" is that they don't know about it existing.

We consider file sharing to be "wrong" or "illegal" because you are copying a piece of property, in this case a DVD, and sharing it with others without the concent of the person who created it.

If, for example, I was to write a book, and then someone copied that book on a photocopier to give to their friends, I would be quite upset. My books are intended to be my livelihood, and without being able to sell them to new readers (because those new readers could get it for free from their friends), I would be living in a box under a bridge.

To share files of things is still sharing the actual content contained on a DVD or CD. We can purchase files of music on iTunes, and then there is no physical thing containing the content, other than your hard drive. If you share the content, the physical thing becomes unnecessary, and thus the artist cannot make any kind of money, including what they need for rent.

I am all for freedom of information, music, art, everything. If I could live and have all of my needs met without having to work, I would write all my books and give them away, and I wouldn't care about whether they got copied or not. I think many people feel this way. However, since we live in capitalism, it's not possible, so we have to fight to keep what we've created under control, so we can live and create more in the future.

CapFeb- I actually have a friend in town who I share my love of writing with- we're both Fantasy writers, and it can get a little difficult to relate to other people when half your head is off buidling huge, epic worlds with magic and gods and strange sentient creatures!
However, if you like, we could also share the writing! I don't think I would mind having more people to share with 🙂

For christmas, all I'm asking for from other people is… well, Money. I have many expensive things that I would like, and I'd prefer not to pressure people into spending more than they are comfortable, so I am asking for money so I can pool it together and get a big thing, rather than a bunch of little things! Also, what with my travelling coming up, if I have money I can stick into that, I would be happy!

Otherwise, things I'd like to ask from myself?

    – The dedication to pole more often. Five times a week. Stretch on my off days. Seriously, it's all set down, self, you just have to make it happen!

    – Find some way to make stretching enjoyable. That way, I could give me the splits!

    – More music to enjoy. This is an ongoing, forever-request.

    – WRITE THE DAMN BOOK. Jeez, I've been sitting on it for YEARS. Just write it!!

Yep, that's about it. Everything else I would ask for is a variation on dedication, either to pole, or to writing, or to whatever else. 🙂
