    Wow, I had no idea! I hope she has a good recovery…she's in very good shape, though, so I imagine she'll be back at it in no time!

    I was thinking I might go with the generic black cat… It's one of those costumes I constantly return to!

    My only issue is going to be the tail, and the ears. I can make the ears quite easily, but I'd like them to actually look good! I might ask my mum for help with it. (lol, I'm 25, married and moved out, but still asking my mum for help!)

    Also, I think I might do the challenge this time, once I actually get an outfit! My first challenge…ever! And my first video in a LONG time!

    Hey guys, just wanted to say…I decided to just go for it, and buy them for the release on the 15th! So, I'll be sure to give a good rundown (as much as I can) on the pros and cons of the DVDs, and let those of you who actually have the willpower to wait know how they are!

    Personally, I find I get an excellent grip higher up on the thighs, and can have a little bit of hip twist that really helps, but I've never actually played with the positioning!

    Aah, I totally understand! I LOVE stretching, but it's been a long time for me to learn that I like it at all. But when I try to stretch my hip flexors, they're soo tight, and it's taking my body a while to understand that those muscles CAN stretch! It's a bit painful, but I'm not pushing too far, because I don't want to do damage!

    I'm showing improvement! 🙂 It's been a week now! I'm sort of just waiting for the plateu to come >_>

    A few things to consider, just from me thinking about it (you might have already thought of these, too). First, when you're doing your split on the ground, can you put your head on your leg at the same time? Is your back straight, or curved?

    And then, if you lay on your back and try to do the splits with your leg to your head…well, your body will take up space underneath your hips, so your "bottom" foot, the one that's away from your head, has slightly farther to go. And, since you are laying on the ground, your back is totally flat, against the floor, changing your hip position.

    To be fair, I've never tried it (I can't do the splits…YET!)and I might be totally off, but these are the things I would think of. Maybe try recording yourself attempting each position, and see if you can find the differences in your position?

    Calbear, as far as I know, best way to get toned and not bulky is to do low weights and high reps, and make sure you stretch after!

    I do, but I only have a pair of 5lb weights at home- I hate going to the gym. I'm currently trying to alternate my pole days from my weight days. I get 3 pole days, 2 weight days. I also combine my weights with flexy training! And for now…I try to get it all done in about an hour, but I might increase that time. We'll see, 'cause it's a pretty new routine for me!

    I actually have a pole that DOES extend, but not the functional part- there's a tube that is the foundational part of the pole that extends to make the pole tall enough to function up to 10feet, but the tube is black and plastic and gross. So, I'm stuck at about 7feet of pole.

    I'll tell you this: Totally enough to do inversions, particularly at the beginning! I'm perfectly fine inverting and having my head only a foot off the ground- it gives me a sense of security, like I can get out if I really need to!

    Granted, I might need to get a taller one, one day…but for now it's awesome!
