When i started at a studio the owner made us sign a waiver saying we would not come to class under the influence of drugs or alcohol. First offense would result in your membership being permanently revoked. We’d go for margaritas after class on Friday night. But booze in the studio was a no go!

Right now I’m loving star into flat line scorpio. Also ballerina.

My FIL just came and installed new cabinets in my master bedroom. The pole stayed up. I love what i do and i agree with what Veena said about hiding it. It just reinforces thoughts of pole being dirty. However, if it is easier for YOU and your relationship with your brother then take it down if you want. You can’t force people to change their minds. It’s all about what will make their visit most enjoyable for you.

Ha ha deleted my comment. My phone is so helpful with auto correct. What i was trying to say is that I also love my tg pole. Enough grip to feel secure trying new moves but not so much grip that it tears up my skin. Glad you like your new tg. Being happy with the finish/grip makes all the difference i think.

Thanks guys. I have really dry skin and am I’m a dry climate but about 30 min in my hands are sweaty and I’m slipping like crazy. Now i have a few references to start with.

Feeling strong, sexy, and confidant. Not just on the pole but in life. Pole had positively affected all aspects of my life by making me stronger, happier, and more confident in myself.

Young living farms. Amazing, high quality, not as expensive as doterra. They have huge lavender farms 30 min from my place.

MemberMarch 3, 2014 at 9:23 am in reply to: too weak to advance to new moves.. feeling defeatedI have found out that i build strength much quicker if I’m eating right and going to the gym as well as doing pole. I only go one or two days a week and lift and usually run a couple of miles each week. Nothing major. But that along with eating well and pole have worked really well for me. I have 2 friends who are doing the same routine with me now and they are both amazed at the difference it has made. Keep at it. One day it will just happen for you.

I’m in an “off” period right now. I was on my pole almost every day but slowly went into burnout. Now i pole once a week or so. Just not feeling it. The grey stormy weather doesn’t help my mindset. Point is, most of the people here have had an off phase. It’s okay. Sometimes if i don’t feel like dancing or working on tricks I’ll just use my pole for a workout. Side crunches, pull ups, leg lifts, as a stabilizer for ab work, etc.

Love my 50 but i have big hands. I can use a 45 fairly comfortably and never tried a 40.

Check the bearing in the dome. Mine was welded in crooked so no matter how i put my pole up it spins goofy. I would be more worried about it but I’m my pole room I’ve got a permanent mount that it spins great on. But, like i said, check the dome. If it’s crooked xpole May replace it.

Right now I’m only putting in 1-2 hours a week on the pole and 1-2 hours a week doing conditioning/cardio. When I get my remodel finished and can keep my pole up 24/7 I’m hoping to up my pole time to at least 30 min a day. Even only doing the 2-4 total hours per week I’m soooo much stronger than I was when I started 4 months ago!

This thread disproves any stereotypes about pole. Anyone and everyone can do this (and I feel they should 😉 )
I’m a dog groomer. I’ve been grooming for 11 years now. I graduated Grooming School when I was 20 and have never looked back.
