9’9″ and I’m totally spoiled. The studio I go to has 8′ ceilings and I’m aways kicking the ceiling. Oops.

I didn’t lower my carbs so much as I increased my protein. I also found that counting calories (I use myfitnesspal.com) is my saving grace. It makes me more aware of what I’m putting in my body. Make sure you are cutting way down on your sodium and sugar intake and drink tons of water.

I don’t deny myself anything. I just eat in moderation (suggested serving sizes) and don’t go over my daily calorie limit I set for myself.

I couldn’t do a pull up or even cross the monkey bars at the local park 6 months ago. I only train 2-3 hours a week and can do 3 pull ups no problem. I was amazed at how quickly I developed upper body strength doing pole. Loved the video!

Bummer about the adjuster cover not fitting. Guess the only way to have avoided that would have been to unscrew the adjuster from the base pole and left it chrome. Hopefully he’ll be able to strip the powder coat off for you.

I can’t answer about the texture thing because I’ve never been on a powder coated pole. I have had my grooming shears all powder coated though and they don’t have a texture. But I get what you are saying because my parrot cage is powder coated and is the “orange peel” texture you mentioned. My only thought is it might end up providing more grip than you would like.

As for diameter. I find hand holds easier on a 45mm but any thigh holds I find harder on a smaller diameter pole. I stuck with the 50mm for that reason. I have fairly big hands so strengthening my grip was the easier answer for me. But it seems like the majority of people here like the 45mm so I think you’ll be able to rock the new diameter.

Good luck with everything. Nothing better than a good pole day but nothing much worse than a bad one. We’ve all been there and understand.

Side note– What color did you coat your pole? I really want a lime green pole… with glitter…

I’ve got my son’s name high on my rib cage. Its next to my boob under my arm (if that makes sense) so bra straps and tops with similar thicker straps hide it. The only thing that doesn’t it a bikini with string style straps. It took me 10 years to decide what I wanted tattooed on my body forever. Then my son came along and I knew.

I have very dry skin, live in a dry climate, and (right now) it’s very cold. I got the titanium gold x-pole and was pleasantly surprised with how much grip I had on it. I have never tried brass but I am very happy with the TG. It looks beautiful as well 🙂

I use a product calld “PFB Vanish”. My esthetician recommended it since I tend to get ingrown hairs after waxing. I love this stuff. I don’t have anymore problems. It comes as a roll on and I use it every time I shave or wax.

I’m on the fence. It wouldn’t bother me to have a male in my pole class in the aspect that I wouldn’t feel awkward or weird. BUT part of the reason I go is to connect with 4 other women for an hour where no one judges and we all talk girly stuff.

Bottom line, if the studio owner put a guy in our class I wouldn’t complain or quit going. He’d just have to listen to a lot of “girl talk”

I think something stating that “a lot of our tricks require bare skin/pole contact. But please be mindful of what you are wearing so you don’t expose more than you intended to” That’s pretty much what our instructor told us. She made sure when we signed up that we bent over, twisted, etc in the clothes we were planning on wearing and in front of a mirror BEFORE we came to class. Full crotch coverage and no nipples is all she asked for.

Eyes on Fire by Blue Foundation
Feelin’ Love -City of Angels Sound track

If you listen to the lyrics of Feelin’ Love I don’t think “Jazz Hands” will fit into the routine. They won’t really fit with the mood of the song either. Good luck!

I noticed my arms looked amazing first. I was doing my hair in the mirror and thought “Hey when did i get those guns?”. Then a month later i had hubby take pics of some of my tricks and i was amazed to see so much muscle definition in my legs. I can do pull ups new and I’m a lot stronger in general. Loving the new me and the fact that pole is so fun it didn’t ever feel like work.

The poles in the studio I go to are chrome and if it’s warm in there it’s like a slip and slide. I got the TG xpole for home and have only had it up a few days but I love it. It has more grip than the chrome but I don’t feel like it has so much grip that it would be to sticky. It is really dry where I live so that also may factor in.
