Haven’t been poling for long, say 2- 3 months.

I have my routine where I moisturise daily. My pole classes tend to be early evenings which by then the moisturiser has soaked up, though I’m more concerned with when you’re performing any floor work, the unslightly dry patches on the knees creep up not a very pretty sight! But I guess its something I will have to deal with.
Thanks for all your replies though x

Like the above post I became interested in pole dancing after seeing a video of Felix Cane and I was ike " I want to do that!"
I LOVE to dance and express myself whether it be on a dancefloor or a dance class. I’m mainly into street dance which I never done professionally but I admire those who are in the industry that do it. For me pole dancing takes it to another challenging level, it’s fun, it’s sexy and it’s pushing me to do something totally different plus it’s nice to do an activitiy that I actually enjoy doing and is keeping me fit at the same time.

If I were to be honest I love all of me! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
I am very tall (I stand at 5"10 without my 5.5 inch heels!) and slim and for the majority of my life (I’m 27) I saw this as a major hang up. I had always felt like a freak of nature as I am the tallest one out of my friends, even standing amongst a crowd I was taller than most people – including men who were and still are intimidated by my height! People would also make negative comments about my weight which would get me down and my self esteem would just plummet.
But that is all in the past as I have learnt to embrace my physical experience, any negative or snidey comments about my weight I put down to jealousy. I love that I have a figure with my tall stature, with a little booty to match https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif I love my legs as they are endlessly long especially with my killer heels, my toned stomach, but most of all I love my smile. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Awww thank you ladies for your responses. Glad to know I’m not suffering alone!
I have invested in some travel sickness wrist bands (very sexy) for when I go to my lessons and also carry with me some ginger chews. Hopefully it will pass with time.
@Azzwoo I only seem to get sick when spinning around the pole 2-3 times in a row. The dizzyness I can handle but the stomach churning not so much! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

The shop is called Legend Footwear 240 Camdem High Street. But there are many shops around there that sell Pleaser shoes for reasonable prices so you should be able to find something. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Echoing everyone else Camden is the place to go. I recently got a pair of Pleaser shoes for £35 – can’t go wrong!

They put vaseline in the Xjoints where the hex key goes in??
Those Xjoints can be a b*tch to get apart, or to put together! You’re right they were a real pain and was close to having them replaced.
The locksmiths had to take the xjoints a part and dabbed a very small amount of vaseline on all the screws and on the thread of the joints, that then made the screws much more smoother and easier for me to undo/tighten.
The humidty was the reason why the screws near enough bone dry – in turn making it diffcult to release with the hex key. So I wouldn’t be surprised if anyone else in the UK has the same problem with the weather being very cold.

I received my Xpert a couple days ago, this is my first pole so cannot really compare but so far so good. Bonus side is that it is bottom loading which for me is great as I can put it up without a second body.
I did have problems releasing the x joints though as they were extremely tight and I could not loosen the screws with the hex key. Ended up having to take it to a locksmiths, even they found it difficult and notice the screws were in the early stages of rusting but with a bit of vaseline and a mini science lesson https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif they managed to sort it out for me https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
