CONGRATS!! I can’t believe you actually set it up and then went to class. I got mine set up and skipped class lol. I couldn’t leave with a beautiful new pole all installed waiting for me to jump on it lol. Congrats! I hope you have fun!

You should definitely read all the lingo jargon on the pills if you are going to take them. Who knows if maybe heavy exercise is not good when you’ve taken one…Just looking out for ya!
I suggest taking it slow. Make your movements around the pole more exaggerated and bigger. The tighter you pull yourself in, the faster you go. Like when going into a flirty fireman, pivot around in a big circle…I hope that helps.

CONGRATS!!!!! I know the feeling!!

I’ve been watching your lessons and I walk into it the way you show it. I have yet to try anything on static other than climbing. I really should. I just don’t see how you can do a full circle lol. I would think my skin would stick to the pole.

I checked the track status on FedEx & it arrived in my town!! it was suppose to be here Thursday but it got here sooner!! When I ordered it, I wasn’t able to change my Shipping Address from my Billing Address, so it was going to my mum’s house https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif She’s fine with it…I mean she runs a strip club, but when your little daughter gets a pole…it was a little shocking for her. I showed her this site and she was so impressed and couldn’t believe there was such an arena for pole fitness. I called FedEx and asked them if I could just come pick the package up tomorrow instead of having it shipped to my moms house…THEY SAID YES!!!
The boyfriend is home all day and doesn’t work so he can set up my pole & my new mirror tomorrow!! I have work in the morning and class tomorrow night…I’m conflicted because I reeeeeaaaally want to skip my class to go PLAY!!! DILEMMA! lol…Ok, enough of being dramatic…just excited!!

Thanks girls…

So it doesn’t matter then? I’d rather just let it fall off itself than to scrap at it…Thanks!!

Not sure if I can waste any of that =) lol..What I’m sure my skin would taste pretty good if I had some Blueberry or Strawberry Vodka on there =)

SissyBuns…I hear ya!! I rent a townhouse, but luckily my landlord who is like 80 years old loves me and my boyfriend and he comes to my dad’s strip club so he’s all for me getting a pole…lol. I wish I had hardwood floors sooo bad!! But I lived in my moms house until I was 18 and her entire house is hardwood floors…So there were times where laying on carpet is a luxury lol.
I think the wood idea would work because when I am done with my practice, I can just pick them up and put them in the closet…that way they aren’t in the way or anything…I’m like you…I’m not a DIY girl either…I had a tough time at Lowes today trying to buy the hardware to hang the new mirror I got…But my boyfriend is pretty handy and I think he would do it for me…If I figure out how to get it all in motion, I’ll take pictures of it for you and detail what I did that way you could maybe try it from directions? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

SissyBuns…I think it’s 40 inches high…lol. A 15 foot mirror would be INSANE! & AWESOME!! Most gyms have long mirrors but they are usually pieces put together!

Those of us at home are most likely wiping off sweat. I use windex and/or alcohol to keep the pole (and my hands) dry.
Like Rubbing alcohol?

Are they vertical or horiztonal? What would be best?

I have these from Ikea. They’re only $8 and you can butt them up together to make them as wide as you want
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/90049573" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
That’s not too bad of a price either!! I found some of those at Lowes tonight for 5 bucks…The only problem that you have to look out for is if the mirror is beveled…I think that is the term…If it is, it will create different images through all of the mirrors. You won’t get one continuous image. Just choppys versions…Especially with mirrors like that which have a frame… (those over-the-door mirrors especially)…But that is a cheap price! And you say they work great!!
I think I might buy some Mirror Tiles…They have 6 for $20 bucks…so I could extend each side of the mirror to come further out…

I did try Craigslist and they were all antique old small mirrors…BUT GUESS WHAT!!
I just went to Lowes with my Mum & we found a mirror!! I didn’t know how many different types there were. I ended up getting a Polished Edge Mirror 48" by 36". It’s bigger than I thought!! It was only 39 bucks!! I had to buy the hardware which was about 16. But I think it’s going to work really good.
I really wanted a full length mirror (like ceiling to floor) so I can see my entire body…Check things like making sure my toes are pointed or my hand is gripped in the right spot…So the 48 x 36 mirror I just bought might not show everything, but maybe I can create another mirror on the other wall out of the Mylar Roll…
One thing that kinda sucked was…I emailed one supplier of the Mylar Roll (which had to do with hydroponics) and they said it would look like a funhouse mirror. So that got me down, but the guy I ordered it from and another person I contacted said it would work very good. Can’t wait!!
