Wait and see how the pole feels to you before you go buying a grip aid, i went and bought the bigger tub of iTac2 Extra Strength grip aid and it works, but it works waaay too well! Lol it’s like I glued my hands to the pole, but I’m kinda stuck with it. I find I actually don’t need a grip aid very often unless I’m practicing a newer move I’m not 100% confident on and want some extra support. Maybe try iTac2 Regular Strenght if you want something general that is good quality. This also depends on the finish of your pole as well, do you know if it’s chrome/stainless steel or something else maybe? Different finishes will affect your grip as well

Fellow Albertan here as well! Of course I’m closer to the Edmonton area as well, found a great community at Aradia in Stony Plain where I take lessons as well as the Veena lessons. I know what you mean about the expense, might have to hold off on the studio lessons for a while, my wallet hates me so much right now, lol!

I guess I need to buy more pole shoes in order to have an old pair to do this with, lol! So shiny!

Mine is also currently in my living room, my house is so tiny :(. I would love to have a spare bedroom to turn into a pole studio for myself with mirrors and lights and an awesome sound system, oh the possibilities! Next house we buy or build, will be planning for this!
