Check out Veena’s video on tips for winter pole. I’ve been doing this and it really helps. It absolutely helps to have a warm body and pole, too.

I have always had long nails but I started keeping them shorter once I started to pole. Like Chem, mine are usually kind of a medium length. If I scratch myself, it’s usually on the inside of the thigh on my outside leg hang leg. Then I file them down and start over again.

Oh! My car’s name is “Buzz”. Named after Buzz Lightyear because it’s an Infinity (to Infinity and Beyond)!!

My Chrome XPole is “Sully”. Named after Anne Sullivan, the Miracle worker, lol. My SV pole is “Grape Ape”. Named after an old cartoon.

Do you have Veena’s lesson? She actually has a beginner routine. You may not be able to do all of the moves, but you could get some ideas from it.

I got two huge ones at Home Goods. I couldn’t believe they were so cheap. They are the ones in all my vids. Heavy, sturdy and pretty.

That is super cool!! I agree!

My safety mat is my new best friend!! I’ve been poling for 2 years without one, but I can tell you that my level of comfort has gone way up to try new stuff. To answer your question, I would say yes! Until you feel safe again, stay low so you don’t have far to drop if you do lose it. Hope your head is better!! Ouchie!

My tendinitis is also from gardening. The best advise I can give you is to stretch your wrists and forearms after every workout. Religiously. If I pole for more than 2 hours, I stretch, then ice. Sometimes I need to give them long rest periods.

One thing I will say is that you are jumping into your invert instead of it being nice and controlled,. That momentum is making you spin. This is also dangerous as you may injure your ribs as your body comes into contact with the pole. You should have your body (hips) in front of the pole, in contact with the pole before you invert. You can use a leg sweep, use your core to lift and tilt your hips back, then legs up. If you have the lessons, here is the one for basic invert:

Please be careful!! Other than that, you look gorgeous!!
