I own the SV pole and a Chrome X-Pole. I also have sweaty hands, but I use a clinical strength deodorant on them at night. It helps a lot! Anyway, what I absolutely love about the SV pole is that I do not have to use a grip aid. Not on my hands or my body (I use grip aid with my chrome). I specifically purchased it for the humid summer months and it was money well spent. The only thing I found is that if I poled for more than about 2 hours, I started to get too sticky, lol. That didn’t bother me one bit. My pole is in a room above my garage (brr), so in the winter I use my chrome. I saw my SV pole peeking out from the head of my bed last night, and I said, “Hello! I miss you!” Hope this helps!

I’m also in the “Older Poler” category at age 49. I started to pole at age 47 so I wasn’t sure what to expect. 2 years later I am in the best shape of my life. I remember a physician telling me that it is not practical to expect my body to ever look or act like it did in my 20’s. While my skin tone cannot be reversed, my muscle tone is fabulous. Way better than in my 20’s! I used to be quite a gym rat, but I could never get my arms, abs, or legs to get any definition. I think it was probably because I didn’t push myself hard enough. With pole, you are pushing beyond limits you ever thought possible. The best news is that you don’t always feel like you are because it is so much fun!!! Pole has easily been the most incredible way to get in shape. Hands down.

Makasha, I use Clinical Strength deodorant (works the same as Dri-clor). I put it on my hands at night, before getting into bed. In the morning, I wash my hands with soap and water which eliminates any reside that can stain clothing or discolor metal.

Hi Lola. Just want to let you know that I had the EXACT issue you are having. Chrome works, but I didn’t want to use a different browser. I did the Mavericks upgrade that Webbie recommended. There are a few visual changes I need to get used to, but I didn’t have any big issues with it. The best part is that the pauses and buffering stopped!!!
