well i’ve found that as i have started lifting weights for my bicep and triceps buildup my chest was easier to work with, not saying i lost any size cause mine are fake lol, but there was more muscle and when I was doing more close range moves like forearm grips etc.. it wasnt as painful. normally when i first started those moves though, i wanted to do them so badly i just ignored any discomfort from my chest (not always a good thing though) and did the move anyway. sometimes i double up on bras but then that limits your range of motion https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

I think i can be of some assistance in this problem…lol… i’m a D or DDish size and mine are quite annoying lol. I’ve learned to work around it on the pole, and with every move i have tried i never felt like there was one I couldn’t do, just cause of my size. I guess the worst thing would be having to go through a total costume adjustment to make it look decent. And being the only one around at events who is wearing a ugly sports bra while the other girls are wearing teeny tiny things. Although i do wanna start my own line of competition pole dance wear that is professional and sporty, while beautiful. my idea was something flashy and pretty like this…

but in a two piece and shorts -
wow that sounds exactly like my problem. atleast i know its not just me https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif thanks for the topic reply. my legs are very dry too now and NOT sticking, its actually quite funny…well maybe not https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif
but i found that mighty grip and curel lotion the night before have been helping some https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif -
ooooo i do these all the time!!
here is what i suggest;
for me the wall was a little more scary just because your head had to be completely down and there was nothing to grasp with your legs- but everyone is different some like using that better.
when i do handstands on the pole i put my head to ONE side of the pole, then your less likely to bang your head around when you flip.
Your splits look good, so you should be able to try kicking one foot at a time and the other will follow. when your comfortable with that, the more important thing is to try and use as much force and the same spot where your hands go down every time you flip down.
hope that helps… it kinda sounds more confusing than i thought it would be to explain… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif -
ooo sounds so nice! think im going to do it!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

so i’m going to finally be up to date with everyone and get a xpole! i’m excited, does anyone know how long the shipping normally takes from order?
also if you all have any ideas, i still have a perfectly good brass, i had originally wanted to set up both , one on spinning and one non in the same area and have duel poles to play with at home! but my husband says the support beam mine is on isnt large enough for both in the same area. (if you’ve seen in my videos its in a ‘computer room/office type of area’)
i dont have really anywhere else to set up the xpole…maybe downstairs…dont know how the hubby would deal with pole in the living room and upstairs… its taking over!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
any ideas..? -

i have girls tell me this all the time!! it went away for me too after a while.
but i think the number one thing is to NOT stare at the pole when your spinning, (kinda like pirouettes- you have to focus on a wall or something ) -

static and spinning both represent different challenges. But i do believe to get though a complete performance on spinning is just as challenging if not more if you are going really fast, i had someone tell me it made it easier too, i told them to get on it and try to stay off without having the G-force swing you off, and well… they flew off pretty quick haha
i use spinning in 80% of my youtube videos and you know how many times i will stop spinning and get pissed or spin to fast and worry about it flying though the wall …lol which it did before.
i’m using static recently cause there are no spinning pole in vpc, and its a pain in the ass trying to land a move at the right angle so it looks good for camera… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif
so anyone who says its cheating doesn’t know what there talking about, why dont they try a handspring on a spinning pole https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif -
Even a Chinese pole, with a maleperformer, can be sexual. I think there is a great deal of sexiness in this Chinese pole video of Remi Martin:

Saphirecatzeye, your opinion is really interesting. I think contortionism is *definitely* viewed by some folks as *very* sexual – the whole "sexy flexy" (bendy in bed) thing! Does that annoy you?
Personally, I’m so in awe at the superhuman strengths and abilities of gymnasts, contortionists, pole dancers, aerial acrobats alike that the presence of heels, a sculpted male torso, or booty popping doesn’t even register on my scandal-o-meter!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
I LOVE that performance by remi martin! for me i see it as the furthest away from being sexual , the song ‘Hope there’s someone’ by Antony & Johnsons is so emotional , and if you look up him playing it live on YouTube he is known for showing such passion in his singing. I just feel it was pure beauty and expression. Like Remi was connecting to Antony’s feelings though dance. but thats just how i see it.
And after you mentioned it about contortion being viewed as sexy, I know people do see it that way. But it doesnt have the stigma like pole dancing does. I’ve also had alot more guys think its weird and painful looking than respond the other way. (in my personal at-home life not internet) But i’m also a big fantasy (books and movies) fan, so I see contortion and pole as forms to take you to ‘another world’ almost https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif -
i couldnt even get though the whole video i was so disgusted https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_puke_r.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumbdown.gif

This is such a interesting subject! I want to post my opinion, and i hope no one takes it the wrong way… please! love you all! hehe https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif
Anyway, I got to a point with my pole dancing almost two years ago, (when I started my contortion videos) that I really didn’t like my pole dancing being connected with a "sexy" dance.
Anytime it was thought of as sexy I felt the response was negative and discriminatory from men and women.
After I had my daughter I got my breasts fixed and I wear a size DD, with dancing i really kind wished I was normal size or a C, I couldn’t get a smaller size because I didn’t want a reduction as it would scar my pectoral muscles and skin.(it also was alot more expensive than what I had) I feel like I always get sexual attention from men so dancing is not a outlet for me. I hate it when a male friend or family member sees my pole and thinks i’m doing something dirty. Or when men and women who know nothing about it (and this is true) say "only whores get on the pole" or call it a "stripper pole" continuously. My husband’s family is South American and traditional, and they have never understood my dancing. It is such a part of my life and I cant even express how happy it makes me to get more students or land a new competition opportunity.
When i see pole dancing, ever since the very first video I watched. I saw it as some other worldly form of anti-gravity dancing. Like the dancers were almost not human. It was so beautiful to me, and I suppose it makes me sad when others don’t see it as I do. I wish poles were never at strip clubs and our pole dancing would have zero stigma like the Chinese circus poles.
I wish alot more dancers would take off their platform shoes and either be barefoot or wear regular heals and it would help this process along. But this is just one persons opinion, its all situational, someone who finds it as a great outlet and has no problem with expressing their sexuality in a harmless manner is not going to feel the same way as me. I had a student recently who told me she found pole dancing as a way to feel confident in her body, because she never felt confident or sexy (and she had 10 years ballet experience) she told me it helped her so much to be able to dance on it and feel like she looked good and others thought she looked sexy and therefore helping her self-image. (that is also a time when pole dancing in a sexual form can be beneficial)
I am just a product of my experiences and preferences , environment , past and desires, as are we all.
Anything can be used for something positive or negative , it is up to the person to make it that way.
Just thought another perspective would be interesting, also to explain why i feel that way.

so with your titanium gold pole but not your regular xpole?
humm…maybe it has something to do with the brass, since the gold is the closest to being brass. i keep my house warm but not that warm! lol
