I can appreciate some of your frustrations, I’ve been on steroids for the past 6 months and that’s piled on the pounds 🙁 I’m nearly finished tapering off so the plan for this year is to get back into shape and enjoy pole again!
I agree with Veena though, set small goals and don’t try to overdo things. Good luck with refinding your pole mojo 😀

I am a beginner too and learning on a stainless xpert x pole. I did look at the others when I got this one but as we had the same ones it class I thought it made sense to go with what I knew. I like the pole though although I tend to find that my hands sweat which can make the pole slippy.
Have you had a go on any poles at a studio to see what you like best?

I am looking forward to this. I’m still a complete newbie too and after having a break I feel like I have forgotten a lot of the basics so hopefully this will help keep me on track 🙂 Need to sign up for instagram now though!

I wouldn’t mind a Skype pole jam either, I am very much a beginner though so I can’t do very much yet! My Skype name is englishtigress 😀

Thanks for all the replies. I will have a look and see what I can find over here. I never thought about using a antiperspirant, don’t know if I have seen any solid ones before though but I’ll have a look around.
I’m not sure its grip problems I have with my thighs, more that they are not firm enough and trying to grip kills that much that I need to let go…I am hoping that gets easier in time 😀

I am completely new to pole to (well apart from a few studio classes),I just had my first pole delivered last week. I went for the 45mm in the end. I tried the 50mm in class and it felt a bit too chunky…the only good thing was that it seemed easier to climb. The 40mm just seemed too small and I have short stubby fingers! I think it’s best to try all of them and see what you are comfiest on before deciding which to buy.
Good luck with it though… it soon becomes addictive lol
