RIP to the SV chat!!! I’ll always remember the good times we had when SV first started 🙂 It’s been such a profound privilege to watch how SV has grown since its beginning; despite chat being gone, SV continues to exceed expectation in every aspect of pole 🙂 I love this site and I love you guys!!!! (Aww. Now I’m getting all sappy!)

Guys are stupid and won't know if you "mess up". Do NOT let it show on your face like, "Oh damn, that toe wasn't pointed now the whole dance is ruined". Don't do that. Go with the flow and find humor that guys are complete idiots and won't notice you doing the same move over and over again.
For me it was helpful to remember "do the least amount of work in the most amount of time". That meant slowing things wayyyyyyyy down. Take your time, take your time, take your time.
Act like you're the biggest prize in that club and the idiots will believe that you're the biggest prize in that club. You want to be desirable and untouchable; the one dancer that always seems busy and in demand. That could equate to bigger tips because you're the one who they wanted but couldn't have. That makes you more desirable.
Think of them as dogs; no really! You know how when you play with a dog and you're waving the bone in their face they go crazy?? If they can't get at the bone that's all they want! So when you're dancing, be the bone; LOL! I'm serious. Men want what they can't have, so treat them like the dogs they are and drive them crazy 🙂
🙂 Stay confident! You're going to be amazing!

So ladies, my dear friends….last night I started working on the Shoulder Mount from the floor and what was I greeted with??? The most GHASTLY, LOUD, LONG, pole fart I've ever experienced. I started laughing, but then I was horrified!!! Then MORTIFIED!!!!! This was going to be my go to move when I was out and about! But I don't even know if I should continue working on it because it was so bad!!!! What a dilemma! 🙂 xoxoxoxo

What a great thread! I just got my foam roller today (thank you V!!), heading over to V's lessons right now!

This is a great question! I'm eager to learn the answer too. I've been doing Veena's conditioning exercises lately, but was thinking of buying a foam roller too. I'm not even sure what a foam roller does though. Enjoy Veena's lessons Virgin!!!!! They're the best that are out there! 🙂

How you got into pole dancing: When I was 18, my friend and I were like, "Let's do something ridiculous!" So we started taking dance lessons from a stripper. When I moved for college, I found a pole studio in the area and decided to try it out, I've been hooked ever since!
How you found out about SV: I was watching youtube video's one day and saw an INCREDIBLE dancer named Veena; I was reading through her comments and peoples responses to the video and I saw she mentioned her website. I went to it immediately, and ever since my life has changed for the better 🙂 I LOVE SV and greatly admire Veena and her beautiful family! I'm so thankful to know them!
If you were a pair of undies, what would you be: Black and pink polka dotted bikini cut with lace along the booty!

Only on StudioVeena can you talk about constipation and pole farts and know you're among friends 🙂 I hope you feel better soon! Eating prunes or drinking prune juice tends to help me; bananas too!

Yay! These are such great tips. I've never done a pole photo shoot, but I'll suggest: don't make the constipation face. For example, you're so focused on holding the move, pointing your toes, not slipping off the pole, that you forget your face. Have a blast!!!!!! 🙂

Ooooo!! Those are great tips, I never even thought of that before. Thank you Charley!!!

I've been to several; my favorites though are Total Woman in Minnesota, and of course StudioVeena. I think the teacher and atmosphere of the classes make a huge impact on whether I feel comfortable enough to return. Right away, you can tell the difference between a teacher who really cares about your progress vs a teacher who's ultimate goal is to further her own self.

Thank you so much guys!!! The teddy and I aren’t the best of friends yet lol. I’m going to start working on those areas you guys mentioned, thank you! Xoxoxo
