Just use a lot more pressure between your ankles, and make sure your legs are turned so that you can grip between the knees, too. Keep those toes pointed!!

Porshka– I know how you feel! Some days I'm in such a funk that I can only manage a few half-hearted spins before throwing in the towel and crawling back into bed for the day. Then the fact that even my pole couldnt improve my mood just emphasizes how depressed I really am, and then I feel more depressed and hopeless.

You just have to tell yourself… Tomorrow is another day. I will try again.

I have suffered from depression off and on since I was 12 years old. Pole hasn't cured me– I still have really down periods sometimes. But poling gives me something to be proud of and a sense of accomplishment that is entirely my own. I don't have to rely on anyone but myself to make me feel good  when I learn new tricks or perform. It's a great way to make ME happy. 🙂

Hahaha. Maybe I am being a little hard on myself. I want my butt to be undeniably glorious, though! 😛

What are bridges and hamstring curls?
