@Kat; Yes my pole went from being very slippery to being very grippy, only drawback was sometimes I stuck too well. LOL! You will want to call around to the local powder coating places in your area and get estimates. They should have many colours to choose from and the stuff looks like mineral makeup almost. Yes! Ohhhh…the possibilities https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Since you were asking about powder coating. I got my chrome 50 X-Pole powder coated last spring. So yes you can get it done. Mine was purple. There are pix on my page. Plus in the second thread, there is a linky that explains how powder coating works. I paid $65 for mine, which should be about the average price. Make sure to call around to get estimates.

@Mizzgabriell; If your flow is very heavy a Lady Cup is NOT for you, trust me. The holes in it are staggered so both sizes cannot hold that much fluid. I have 2 of them and had to go back and start all over and select a different brand. I will post again the LJ link for cups. They will have size comparison charts, and pictures of all the different brands, so you can visually see what they look like.

Also there is a cutting your teeth period with new cup users. I do hope you find something that will work for you. Good Luck!

I would echo what PDR said and definitely look up youtube videos for different folds and see if one those might work. Also could try in the shower to. I have done the water trick before, it does work, I'd just suggest warm water 😛

Thanks Keex. I did wonder how Karol had placed this weekend since I had only saw they Announced Michelle and Alethea. Wasn't able to find any info about the competition on their page.

Spooky you can do it!!!! Remember to always think positive. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif I started my journey back in Feb and couldn't do ANYTHING to save my life. Oh how I'd get frustrated with myself and be upset. But the gals here on Veena were able to help me and be a positive light on my journey, plus even had a couple of them make quickie videos to explain a move to me and that made a HUGE difference. We're all in this together!
I always mutter to myself "I refuse to let the pole defeat me!"
Don't be afraid to turn on some music, kick the bf/kids/whomever out of the pole space and let yourself go to town. Even if it's just holding onto the pole with your hand and walking around it, feel the music and let it move you.

http://www.femininewear.co.uk/ This is where I bought my MeLuna's from. Great site, wonderful service.

Forgot to add these cups are made from medical grade silicone or T.P.E.

YW Ginger! I use MeLuna's also and adore them immensely. Yes no TSS from using tampons when using a cup and you won't get micro tears in your vaginal walls from inserting a tampon. I am very pro cup and get a lil crazy over it. And in a woman's lifetime if she stuck with pads, she'll throw about 13,000 of them away into the landfill.
I have tried Diva (the largest on the market), and it was just too big for me. I also have used and own Lady Cups, they're nice and beautifu colours, but the staggered holes are a pain and therefore cannot hold as much fluid. So finally had to go back to the drawning board and purchase another brand, which was my MeLuna's and they've worked beauitfuly ever since. I have the ones with no stem/ball/ring plus on all the cups I've owned. I filed down the ridges or cut the stems off and smoothed em out with a file, just have to be careful you don't go to far. Soft Cups are alright, the disposable cups, but they're different shaped and don't want to insert nice and will twist on me trying to get them in right.
