    I’ve had no problems at all. On a weekly basis I’ll move the pole between my bedroom and living room depending on where I feel like poling. I also manage this by myself and I’m not the strongest person. I do have low ceilings though so my pole isn’t a high one which might make it more difficult to put up alone.

    I had this problem until recently when I was taught how to do an exercise called pole tucks. Stand to the side of the pole, inside arm wrapped high on the pole, outside arm across the chest holding onto the pole, raise your knees up to your chest without jumping in a slow and controled manor. I could only do a few to begin with but after about a week of doings these on a daily basis I was able to do an airial invert. I’ll try and find a video link to show you.

    I always use my cam too as I don’t have a mirror in my bedroom. Its also quite nice to be able to look back on a whole practice and see your improvements over time.

    Hi ya,

    I got a xpert bottom loading pole and managed to put it up by myself the first time, although my ceiling is on the shorter side, I guess the higher the ceiling the more difficult it may be.

    Welcome to SV You will love it when your pole arrives! Everyone on here is really friendly and I don’t think it matters what age, shape or size someone is, everyone should enjoy pole and like you say "find that sexy sexy" of theirs.

    Did you go to the 2nd Birthday bash on Saturday? I thought it was amazing, it was the first show I’ve been to see since I’ve only been poling since May.

    Hi, I’m from England too, originally Nottingham but now live in Bristol. I started pole at the end of May this year. I’m absolutly addicted to it. You can learn loads of stuff through this website, can’t believe it took me so long to find it.

    I started pole 14 weeks ago and have decided to try and start working towards the splits sooner rather than later. I’ve never managed them when I was younger. Below are my splits from today (I only started 3 days ago) after doing half an hour stretches and then 1 hour of pole.
