Oh ya, yoga mat, flip flops, and swim suit!

Go to the FAQ on PoleExpo.com. I would say to just bring what you would take to class. I’m thinking I am going to bring my own towel to wipe down my pole just in case (that’s just a lot of girls sharing one towel per pole and im kind of a germaphob, haha)! I am also going to bring several different pairs of shorts, leg warmers, sports bras, a notebook and pen to take notes, money for merch, leggings, uggs, light sweaters, water bottle, snacks for between workshops, and skanky dresses and shoes for nighttime, haha!

My friends and I booked a room at the Palms. They are actually doing discounted rates for pole expo ($89 Thursday, $129 Friday, $129 Saturday, and $89 Sunday). Plus, breakfast is included in the expo pass and you won’t have to spend money on cabs to and from the hotel. And you’ll be where all the pole action is at!

@corbyOconner, ya, I think I’m just being a baby about it, haha! I guess it would be about a 30 minute drive from Poulsbo.
-
Yep! We gotta represent, haha! I heard that there was a studio where I live in Poulsbo, but they moved to Port Orchard! WTF?
-
I hear ya! I moved to the Bremerton area from San Diego, and was spoiled by the fact that I had pole studios all around me! I don't want to have to commute so far (like have to take a freakin' ferry) to go to class! So I like other's ideas of booking private lessons here and there, but re-signing up for the online lessons!

I finally got this move down today!!! I did what Phoenix Kazree said she did, and got a feel for it on the ground first. Then I was able to get into it from Superman. I found that i really had to push into the pole with my foot a lot more than i originally thought and arch my back up less than i originally thought. What I found that I was doing wrong before was arching my back too much, so I ended up being parallel with the pole, and that’s why I was slipping.

Awesome! I will contact her about pricing and availability, thanks!

I’ll definitely have to check it out, rope sounds awesome! Does she only do private or semi-private lessons? I couldn’t see an actual schedule for the aerial classes. Thanks for the info about Envy-Fit too!

corbyOconnor, I have never taken a rope class before! It seems like it would be some good cross training for pole! I’m up for it! Do they have a website? I couldn’t find it online, unless it is the same as the yoga fusion place that kept coming up. It’s also good to know that there are pole studios closer to me than Seattle! I was going to be really bummed if I had to take a ferry anytime I wanted to go to pole!

Casey Kill, hope you have fun in Connecticut!

Try out The Dollhouse Fitness in Encinitas! It’s my favorite studio in San Diego. They are doing a buy one get one free special right now for new students too!

So fun to read all of your “useless talents!” I can put my feet behind my neck so I look like a pretzel!
