Just the other day I had this mega dream in which practically EVERYONE I know/ever knew appeared. School friends, teachers, uni friends, pole friends, my students, my work mates, Veeners, my old online Harry Potter friends – the whole lot. :O It was set in this GIANT IKEA.
I have never been to an IKEA actually (shock!horror!) but this place was like a palace – it had at least 4 stories and you had to drive from one end to the other. My dream involved ice fights (I guess like snowball fights, only with chunks of ice haha), jumping on the beds, Peekaboo poles in the toys aisle, and even some of my friends (who don’t even know eachother in real life) sharing showers together.
It was SOOO bizarre!
The Veeners who I recall in said dream include Trena, Jennifer (PoleSkivvies), NikkiChristie, Fluer and Webmaster.
Webmaster was shopping for a water cooler.
WTH georgia! LMAO!!!! That dream sounds hilarious!!!!

The only stupid question is the one you don’t ask. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

I am giggling my ass off reading this thread in some parts and in some other parts I’m like "Note to self….never do another chopper again" LOL.
I am not a fan of the superman. I only want to learn it so that I can use it as a transition into other moves.
I think it’s hard to make a knee hold look smooth and graceful, people forget the arms I think. and that leads me into another pet peeve. Forgetting the arms. Arms flopping and flailing all over the place is not hot LOL.
Genie has always been a move that made me think, why would anyone want to do that? LOL
Yogini is another that is impressive because you can do it, but not very pretty.
I also have to defend the Iguana Mount entry because I love that mount LOL. Karol goes into it super smooth in the vid from the JPA benefit. I’d attach a link if I could youtube from work https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

I was just wondering what I missed…Sissy you have a business? I’m presuming you talked about it elsewhere on the forum but tell us more or direct us to the other thread if there is one!
Hi Empy,
I only blogged about it but yes ma’am I’m starting up a website where I’ll be selling pole dance shoes and gear and I’m so damn excited about it I could pee.My website is still under construction but I’m selling a few things on Ebay for now just to get my selling fix. LOL
You can check out my store there (it’s still under construction too) but if you add me to your favs you’ll get updates on new items. I’m selling dryhands right now for $6 a bottle with free shipping https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif

And when my website goes live you can be sure there will be an update here all about it. LOL

Hi Skittles, et al. I enjoy this move and was impressed with Alethea’s. Its called chopstix. There’s a video on this site of Karol instructing someone (I think Ottersocks maybe?) how to perform this move in a variation which keeps one hand on the pole. I recently picked this move up and its the most recent video on my SV profile. I cannot get into this move as quickly or as gracefully as Alethea does, but I’m going to keep trying to improve mine and hopefully flatten it a little more.
Yeah it’s ottersocks. That was the first time I ever saw Chopsticks too.
And you look awesomely awesome when you do it David!

What a coincidence I see this thread because I just found what are for me the best pole shorts I’ve ever worn (granted I havent gotten any skivvies yet, but I know I’m gonna love those too. Oh and the ones veena sells here aren’t too shabby either). I went out and bought 10 more pairs to sell on Ebay. Check out this listing and take a look.
This is just for the medium size but I also have small, large and xlarge. I’ll be listing those later tonight.

I was in this position when I first started too. You’ll find that a lot of women have had this problem. Sometimes I wonder why it’s seems so hard for some men to just sit back and allow us to engulf ourselves in something that makes us so happy, especially when it takes attention away from them. Maybe it’s an insecurity thing, I don’t know.
My hubs hated it when I started. But we had other issues going on at the same time. Once we figured those out we realized that me poling wasn’t the problem at all. He realized how happy it made me and although he’s rather me sit under him all day and watch him watch the history channel he knows that allowing me to enjoy my hobby will keep a smile on my face. Getting him to realize this was no easy task and took several counseling sessions LOL.
That being said he’s still not a huge fan and even when I talk about it I can see that he’s totally not interested in anything I’m saying. LOL I compromise by not blabbing about it half as much as I want to. I pole when everyone else is gainfully employed so they don’t "miss" me. I try to make sure that I set aside time dedicated just to him and the kids so that he sees that although pole means the world to me, it’s not more important than my family.
I wish I had an easy answer for you, but it’s something that has to be discussed between you and him, maybe with a mediator for fairness and to help both parties get their points across. When we talk about it so much it seems to take up more of our life than it actually does, ya know?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Silhouettes Rara made for me!!!! One of them is probably going to end up being the logo for my online store.
http://WWW.Houseofpole.net coming to a computer near you…very soon…..LOL.

I hope Paypal can straighten it out for you. I hate that that happened.

I second the reverse chopper suggestion. It’s always been one of my fav ways to dismount out of an invert.
-
LOL Gyglass. Was he gonna do it? I’d still like to see the vid. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

I’m still waiting for youtube to send me my nasty gram for my vids. I don’t think enough people know about mine….hehehehehe…..

I prefer the straight leg version. It looks so pretty. Especially when the person has long legs and it’s all stretched out along the pole…..mmmm…..
A la Felix the ragdoll. Yummy.
Exactly.
