I had a great time with you all!!!

I’m so so so bummed that the weather shut down the studio on us and everyone couldn’t come and I’m so sorry that people had such a hard time with flights getting delayed and canceled when they were trying to get home.

The time I did get to share with the few I got to share it with was AH-MAY-ZING!!!!!

Video to come…..

I actually have small calves so I can’t advise from experience but I just got these and they lace up the back and zip up the inside…and they are a bit large on me even at their tightest so I think they would adjust for anyone with larger calves.

I have really small chicken legs so I have always had a problem finding boots that don’t sag on me https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
Do you have any boots that fit good Empy?

Do you have to have a gymnastics or dance background to be accepted into these competitions? I know you don’t have to have one to learn pole dancing but, for competing is it required?

I competed in USPDF West and don’t have any dance or gymnastics background. In fact, before picking up pole dancing at the age of 28, I was a verifiable couch potato/slob/lazy ass that hadn’t been to the gym since accompanying my roommate to an aerobics class my freshman year of college!

Now, had I been practicing dance or gymnastics since childhood, would I be a better pole dancer and performer? Hells yeah. But I make do with what I got. And that’s kind of what makes this sport so awesome –it’s a great sport for non-fitnessy types who never would have exercised had they not discovered pole dancing.

LOL @ "non-fitnessy" types LOL. I like that word. I’m gonna start using that!

I just got the Dara Torres resistance stretching DVD and I have to say I am very impressed with it. It is professionally produced and the names of the muscles are discussed frequently during the descriptions. It is easier to follow than the Bob Cooley DVD and more instruction is given so that you can execute the stretch correctly. It even has a chapter for tight hamstrings. I got a used copy off Amazon for $16 with free shipping. It also came with a bonus DVD called ‘training with Dara Torres’. Here is a link to the website: http://www.innovativebodysolutions.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

My hamstrings are such a trouble area for my lately. It the focus of most of my stretching lately.

Hey ladies, I just wanted to give some information on the party.

The time is from 4-7. We should try to get there a few minutes early to fill out the necessary waiver.

There is a changing room/lounge to change in if you need to.

For those of you traveling from other places (especially you Californians) it’s cold out here! Cold cold! So bring your Jackets! LOL

The address to Xpose is :

7550 Teague Road (Suite 109)
Hanover, MD. 21076

The cost is $30 per person and you’ll pay at the desk when you arrive https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/alien.gif

The poles are brass (I think LOL) static poles so don’t be thinking you’re gonna be gettin all spinny up in there! LOL there will be refreshments and snacks to keep us hydrated and energized LOL.

No male spectators allowed so if you are bringing a spouse, boyfriend or souldmate he won’t be able to come to the party. They’re very strict about this rule https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_pirat.gif .

The Pole Pressure Xmas party starts at 8 in DC. The fee for that party is $20 per person. I don’t know who all is for sure going, but I just wanted to put that info out as an option. Men and everyone else is allowed there. There will be drinks and performances starting at around 9:30. Even our very own Junglecat will be performing for the first time ever!!! I know I plan to be there to cheer him on https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_salut.gif

I’m so so so excited for this weekend! If you want my number just message me. I’d like to have contact info for everyone coming so I can reach/stalk you if I need to.

I can’t wait to see everyone1 We’re gonna have so much fun!
