I’d be concerned with getting it off of the pole too.
If it says not to put it on your skin….I probably wouldn’t try it. There are so many other grip aides formulated for pole/skin contact, I’d exhaust those options first. But that’s just me. Have you tried anything else? What type of grip problems are you having?

I was under the impression that brass wouldn’t be available in the US this year but I’ll double check that. How exciting!
I don’t know x-poles plan on the pricing for brass yet. I know PS charges $50 more for brass and the Titanium Gold is more expensive than chrome so….it may be more expensive. It’s worth it to me though LOL. I love me some brass.

It’s commonly referred to as a chopper but I’ve seen it called a helicopter in studios before too.
I struggled with this one for a long time as well. I didn’t have the strength to hold it when I was first attempting it. I stopped trying for several weeks and worked on tucking my knees up to my chest while holding myself up on the pole. Then eventually tipping back. Roxy-Pink taught me that https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif .

I know I’m not givin up! it’s just that my video was unique and different from all the other submissions I saw because I incorporated my ballet/lyrical dance training with my pole work and I have a different style that’s why I don’t get it. Not saying everyone elses were bad because they deffinitly were all awesome, but the styles were all similar and I though doing something different and unique would get noticed….they offered to critique in my rejetion letter so I asked them for it beause I really don’t understand what I did wrong, so I’m waiting for that!
I wrote out a lengthy somewhat heated response to this but I decided it would be better to delete it and instead ask a question to make sure I’m understanding you correctly. I understand that you’re upset for not getting picked but are you saying that all of the other girls have the same dance style? Because if you are that’s not cool at all ?
I hate to see such a negative attitude about not getting picked. Tons of amazing dancers get overlooked for gigs all of the time. Like daily. Day after day. Every minute somebody somewhere is being told no. Roxy-Pink is like a sister to me and she was rejected a handful of times over the past few months alone. She was picked for USPDF and I’m beyond happy for her, but if she hadn’t…I would have told her to keep her head up and just keep trying. The same thing I told her the other times she got rejected.
You can’t get down on yourself or even assume that you’re not amazing enough for any competition. This time it just wasn’t in the cards for you. But to post about being so upset and not able to understand why some of the other girls got in and not you (because your routine was different and unique) is almost insulting to those that were lucky enough to get chosen. We’re all artists and art is subjective. I watched Amber do one of the most beautiful lyrical/ballet/pole routines I’d ever seen at USPDF finals this year and she didn’t even get top 5…and we all know how friggin awesome Amber is. It just wasn’t the time for her (sorry for busting you out Amber LOL).
It doesn’t mean you’re not great. It just means you gotta keep trying and be happy for the ladies that did make it. I know I am. -
Hi PDR, I haven’t seen any difference in size between Ellie and Pleaser. They seem to run very similar so far. I do offer exchanges as needed too https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Hi Reenie,
I’m a nurse and I have assisted with numerous LEEPs throughout my career and it shouldn’t be that painful. They do numb you up so of course you may feel the stick of the needle and you tend to get a warm flushing feeling in your face when the lidocaine goes in (I always thought that was wierd LOL) but besides that you just lay there and let the good doctors work. Of course everyone experiences pain differently so to some it may be pretty horrible and to others not so bad. You sound like a tough cookie, so I think you’ll be fine.Side note….I love patients that take their care into their own hands and don’t go along with just anything. You do have a say in what happens to your body. Remember that.
