This is awesome!!!! Stinks that I just bought an Xpole about a month ago though. I would have loved to have gotten the new model to start with. I love my pole but am really interested to see the new design. I am really stoked about the bottom loading feature. Whenever I wear heels my hands rest on the adjuster cover that spins whether it is on static or spin and is really troublesome. The bottom loader will eliminate this problem all together so I am really excited. Does anyone know if there is a way to get the adjuster cover to remain static or does it just spin no matter what?
I went to the Xpole site and couldn’t find any info or pics. Does anyone know if they will release this pole in a 45mm? Also, is the new pole going to cost more than the poles currently available?
I have the same problem. when i climb up to the top those top 4 or 5 inches of the pole are basically useless because the adjuster cover just spins and spins…bottom loading sounds cool. I’m pretty sure my next pole will be the 45mm.

Expertvillage really helped me a lot when I first started out. That combined with Veenas lesson gave me more then enough info.

It doesn’t make sense to me that they’d only tell 4 of them one day, then 2 the next. We probably dont have as much contact with the other people…. just a thought – could be wrong!!
And Im sure there’s no rush for them to tell everyone else that they didnt make it… my thoughts! It’s my understanding that everyone gets an email (whether they were picked ot not) and I know people (Allie, Roxy, Philly) who still haven’t heard anything. They’re still obsessivley checking their email. Poor darlings.

I think the butterfly is good for wow factor, especially if you go into it with a handspring. And if you extend it, even prettier!

Are you comfortable with doing a move that you haven’t mastered in a show?
I’ve never performed before (and obviously you have LOL) but I’d be scared to death of using new moves, especially something like the Aysha if I wasn’t sticking it everytime https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

I liked having a loosley chorepgraphed routine for the nov challenge. That way I didn’t just do the chair spin over…and over…and over…like I normally do. LOL

Try checking out http://www.wikipole.org.
I think the spin you’re talking about with the knees to the nose is the craddle.

Hi there!
I had my gallbladder taken out the same way as you. My scar on the upper abdomen became over grown and turned into a Keloid that was tender to the touch and hurt when things rubbed up against it. I’m a dermatology nurse and the Dermatologist i work with started injecting it with steriods to help it flatten out and it has helped so much. is that the type of problem that you’re having? Are your scars overgrown?
Which scar is it that’s hurting. You say it hurts when you do Gemini and Scorpio so I’m guessing it’s the two on your side? I don’t think any of the other scars would come into contact with the pole when doing those moves.
How long ago was your surgery? I’m concerned that you may not be fully healed and maybe shouldn’t be trying some of that stuff yet, especially after the complications you had…

I too struggled with the gemini, for like ever it seemed. I don’t think there’s a time frame that you can put on getting moves because it all depends on the move and the person.
From my experience when I was trying scorpio and and gemini I was focusing on hooking my leg and using only that to hold my self onto the pole. After some hands on instruction from Redke and Roxypink, I discovered that I wasn’t engaing the other points of contact needed; the armpit and the hip. Try squeezing the pole with the inside armpit and the inside hip. Really push that hip (well kind of right above the hip) into the pole, engage the abs and try pointing the foot of the hooked leg at the floor. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
Oh and it’s nice to see another weight lifter on the site https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
