and that’s because you each won first place at the regionals??? I understand now.
So the online amateur division is for those who didn’t compete/win at the regionals? Can anyone who competed at the regionals and didn’t acheive pro status also apply to the online amateur division for another chance for the amateur comp in March?
Good question.

Jessalyn told me that it would be totally okay if we crashed her party. It’s open to all and it’s $20 per person, which also covers adult beverages https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

whats the difference between reverse and regular ayesha?? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_salut.gif
I’ve been sitting here trying to think of a way to describe the difference LOL. When I do a Reverse Aysha I do a basic invert, then put one hand below my head and hold the pole behind me with that hand, then release my legs into an aysha. I guess the diff is that hand behind your head? And the pole isn’t in front of you like in a regular aysha? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

Awww…hell yeah! Sissybuns, this has been one of the best posts ever! Thanks for sharing the order of how you learned the moves!!! Sometimes, talking it out really helps! I didn’t even know that a reverse aysha existed but after watching some vids decided to give it a shot since you said you learned that one first and guess what…I did it! It was a little shaky one (no where near what you do) but I did it! I’m gonna stick with this one for awhile and practice on both sides to build up my arm and core strength before the I give the regular aysha a go! Thank you so so much! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
My hub jokingly sent me a text this morning bf work saying to learn a new move to show him tonight. I got an archer and a reverse aysha today! Can’t wait to see the look on his face! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_queen.gif
One question on the reverse aysha: as I keep trying it, I notice that my woman area is still touching the pole when my legs go out. Is that how it’s supposed to be or will I get further away from the pole as I get better? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif

Yay! yay!!!!!!! I’m so happy you got it and I’m so happy my little adventures helped! LOL.
Post a vid! I wanna see your reverse aysha and your archer…I’m not even sure what an archer is LOL But I wanna see it!

I’m with littlec, I just need to freakin do it already! I might try it split grip cause that’s how I feel best about extended butterfly. It looks like you just stick the other foot off. Well, you made it seem easy, we’ll see! Did you learn split grip first for extended butterfly and straight edge? Do you think straight edge or straight edge split is easiest?
Hi Carrie,
I think (personally) the straight edge spit is easier then the straight edge because I felt it was easier to balance myself with my legs open. Holding myself up in a straight edge, keeping my body in a straight line was harder for me. But that’s just me. I also got a reverse aysha before I could do the aysha or straight edge. I think I’m just all over the place. LOL -
sissy you ROCK !
Thanks JayJay and everyone else!

omg, i haven’t been on the site in awhile, well more like lurking here and there because of school and stuff, but now im trying to be back- sissybuns you poor little thing! im so so sorry that you’ve been in such pain all this time and you’ve been such a trooper about it too by hardly complaining at all when you’ve been hurting so badly https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif im so happy that you’re finally getting answers, how scary and frustratng that must have been when the first doctor just shrugged. im so happy that you’re gonna be alright; maybe there will be some recovery time but now theres hope for a painLESS life!! (btw, im so excited to meet you at the jam!!)
I’m so excited to meet you too!!! I actually could have had my surgery scheduled way earlier, but I wanted to be able to walk at the Jam LOL. So I’m doing it after that. The jam is going to be my grand finale before I go under the knife! A great way to go out on a high note, I think https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif .

Question: Will all of us be staying in the area on saturday night? Is there anything planned?
I was thinking maybe we could go to the Pole Pressure Xmas party in DC…it starts at 8… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/alien.gif

well…im sure the style of surgery has changed throughout the years, and my case was pretty severe…do ur arches touch the floor and bruise? they had to shave many bones in my foot, move bones around, and they also put a Z-cut in my achilles tendon to lengthen it…maybe its different for u? i dont remember how long i had the cast on, but yes, i lost all of my muscle and couldn’t walk at all…my leg was so skinny compared to the other…it was very scary to not be able to walk…i remember falling alot in rehab because i told myself it was all in my head and i could walk…like in kill bill…you can do it, wiggle ur toes…haha…i hope your case is better than mine was…and i hope i didnt scare u!!! i only meant to prepare u!! XO
LOL, it’s ok I’m not scared, just really shocked at your story. I think your case was more severe then mine and there are some differences in what I’m having done as opposed to what you had done.
I don’t need the achilles tendon lengthening because I have enough flexibility in my achillies tendon (they think that some of that flexibility may be part of the problem) already so I won’t have that done. I am not having any bones shaved or cut, he’s inserting an artifical bone type wedge into my foot (he can explain it to you better then I can LOL) that’s going to naturally recreate my arch and be held in place with tension. There’s a possibility he may have to do a second procedure that involves placing screws into my heel but he will decide that while he’s in there but there won’t be any rearranging of bones. Your procedure sounds very aggressive https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif is that foot better at least?
Funny you mention Kill Bill because that’s the first thing I thought of when you mentioned falling down and having to learn to walk again LOL. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
