    Aloha guys and gals! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

So, what I’d like to know is:

    1. Am I better off buying a Chrome pole which is similar to SS and the color won’t fade over time as opposed to paying a bit more for extra grip in the TG which MAY fade over time? (For those that have experience with Chrome X-Perts, do they fade over time?)
Figured that if I work up a sweat, my hands will be so sweaty that I’ll probably have to end up wearing gloves whether I’m on the Chrome OR TG anyway.
    2. How much difference in grip is there between the Chrome and SS? I do find SS QUITE slippery once my hands and feet start to sweat and hard to climb the pole without gloves and shoes on.
    3. Are the X-Pert extensions sold separately/individually or in a set? I’d like to have a variety of extensions if I ever need to work with different ceiling heights that’s all.
    4. Is the Chrome X-Pert a shiny silver mirror finish like the SS? It’s quite hard to tell from the pictures provided by the Seller.

    Thanks heaps, guys!

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts as I am so keen on buying this pole and can’t wait to get it up and running!

    Hi there!

It kind of sounds like the studio owner may be trying to get a sale out of you and is pushing the titanium pole for that reason. In my opinion and the opinion of a LOT of pole dancers I’ve had this conversation with (and I’ve had it a lot believe me LOL I too sell X-Poles) Stainless Stell is usually (and I say usually because I know a couple of dancers *cough * Charley *cough* Amy that swear by stainless steel) the most slippey. I personally would never recommened SS for a first time pole buyer with sweaty hands. I have a chrome X-Pole and I love her to death, bu then again I don’t have the slippery hand problem. I have also poled on stainless steel and not had much of a problem. I’m just speaking from what lots of other polers have told me.

    1. Chrome doesn’t fade from what I know of

    2. I would say SS is much more slippery

    3. extensions are sold seperately. I’d say only buy the ones you need or think you’ll need.

    4. In a picture chrome and stainless steel would probably look exactly alike.

    Hi Veronika,
I routinely only ship to the US an Canada. Sorry https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif if I did try to get a pole to you there it would probably be pretty expensive to ship.

I’m a big hodge podge of all of the above and it can totaly be done at home, especiall with Veena’s lessons because she breaks things down for you just like a class instructor would. I do have to say that I agree with Charley too though. It’s always nice to be in a move and look up at somebody and say "Like this?". LOL https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif That’s what’s so awesome about chat. It’s like a class in your house. I can’t count how many moves I’ve gotten in chat. I also love taking classes and going to jams to mingle and share ideas and styles. I hope that as you progress you’ll feel more confident to pole with others https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Hmm….I haven’t seen those before. How did you find it? Was it recommened to you from other polers?

I think that with grip aides it’s trial and error. What works for some may not work for others. We all have different body types and chemistries, ya know? My hands don’t sweat much but my body sure does and lately I’ve been using mighty grip on my body once I start sweating and it works wonders there but not on my hands LOL. Go figure.

Dryhands is made of Alcohol, Silica, Methyl Glycol, Phenyl trimethicone and cyclomethicone.

is dry hands different from other sports grip aids?

Yeah, they’re all kind of different. Dry hands is the only liquid that changes to poweder type that I’ve come across. I love it personally.

Do you use any other type of grip aid right now?

I agree with Angel. It’s hard to say how long it will take you without knowing more about your strength and background. I found that when I started learning the elbow stand off of the pole I had to really engage my shoulders and arms to balance myself. It’s actually a lot harder than it looks. Takes a good bit of core strength too. Keep plucking away at it and you’ll get it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Klarity I would agree with the others that have said theirs no need to worry about proportions. Women of all sizes and shapes pole just fine. You just have to build strength. And like they said, the key to spinning is in the movement. You’ll get more rotations the more you practice as you get a better understanding of how to get your body around the pole https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Have you tried just dancing around to the section of the song that has your solo and see what comes to you? That’s how I come up with choreography.
