    I do not like them.

I will admit though that I have used close fitting nitrile gloves from work while trying new inverts but those are $6 a case of 100 and I could care less if they rip or roll. I have contemplated trying liquid latex but am not sure how durable that stuff is. I always thought it might be cool to paint some designs on your legs with it.

I wanna paint my body with glow in the dark paint and pole in black light!

Mighty Grip sent me some gloves to try them out to see if I would sell them on my website (http://www.houseofpole.net) and I tried them out and honestly me personally….I won’t really do much with them. I have the same problem as stated above. I feel like I slide out of them in split grip and it doesn’t feel secure. They say to put mighty grip powder inside of them but that didn’t help me much (I’m not a nig fan of the powder anyway, more of a Dry Hands girl myself). That being said….I also don’t have a problem with sweaty hands so maybe they will work better for someone with that issue. I am still going to sell them because I know people that like them and I don’t think they’re unsafe or a bad idea, but I also saw a poler rip through hers during a workshop this past weekend at the convention. LOL She came runnin out to the mighty grip table like "Look at the gloves you just sold me!" LOL. I think that if you don’t have a grip problem they might be more of a hinderance.

I didn’t have time to read this whole thread but did anyone mention hamstring curls? They’re my fav for hamstrings and I’ve gotten any definition I have from them.

    And deadlifts. All day baby!

well how can I forget my biggest ASSet? I like my butt, it is round and nice lol, it’s not perfect (little cellulite) but I like it.
I like my arms right now, I never used to like them but my biceps are nice and shapely from pole now, so I like them.

I second the X-Stage lite. I saw it in action all weekend at pole con (since it was set up in the vendor room where I spent all of my time) and all the superstars got busy on it with no problems.

I personally prefer the X-Pole but idk what to tell you. LOL

Maybe it depends on what finish you like? Or if you have any experience with one or the other? Or price maybe?

Sunny the magazine looks awesome! It’s got all the coolness of a magazine but interactive as well with videos and links to cool stuff. It’s way better than the text filed pages my simple mind imagined it would be. And you’re such an awesome writer as well! I love love love this and I’ll surely be promoting it on House of Pole and to all my pole buddies.

The healthy margarita is a great idea cuz I’m one of those concious eaters who also loves herself a good drink. It’s often tricky to find a healthy option when you’re trying to have yourself a little drinky poo and I loooooove the teach us something section! It’s so cool to see tutorials from some of our fav online teachers.

What a great source and wealth of information for us polers to have! I see big things for Six Inch heels and I’m extremely proud to be a part of it! I’m motivated to start rummaging through my merchandise for next months featured shoes!

Clean eating can change your life. I strongly recommend getting the book and cook books. You can get them on amazon.com for pretty cheap. It’s so easy to do and so good for you. Basically cut out anything that comes in a can or a box. Eat all natural fruits and veggies and lots of lean meats. I’ve been eating clean for almost a month now and I have never felt so good. My weight has always fluctuated ( a pound or 3 depending on the day and where I’m at in my cycle) but now it’s fluctuating about 5 pounds lower on the scale, LOL.

Shay you probably feel like crap because you’re depriving yourself of important nutrients that supply you with the energy and vitamins that you need to feel awesome. Don’t focus on eating less, try to eat less crap. And more good stuff.

As for my routine I usually lift weights 5 days a week and pole whenever I can, which can fluctuate from 1-3 days a week usually. Depending on my muscle soreness. I used to run before my feet went bad and haven’t done any cardio (aside from poledance) since this time last year. Since my post op foot is feeling a lot better, I started the insanity program yesterday to try and get back in shape cardio wise and see if I can get some serious fat burning going on and still have strength left in my muscles to pole more often. We’ll see how that goes https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

When I get to convention I am gonna talk to Zoraya. I look at her abs and think "shes got 2 kids, ive got 2 kids – why dont I look like that’.

That’s genetics my friend. We all have specific body types and I know for a fact no matter what I do…I will never look like that. I’ll always be soft and squishy. LOL

Oh no Little C! You can be injured off of our first shared move. It’s our special move!

I hope it’s just some soreness from over use and it gets better after you rest and ice it.

Christina here! I live in Maryland so I’m actually already here and I’ll be staying at the luxorious Casa De Turner (A.K.A. my house). I’ll be there from the Friday night cocktail party to the final spin on Sunday.

I’ll have a booth for my website http://www.houseofpole.net and I’ll be handing out ribbons/bracelets (haven’t decided which one yet, trying to find something that will stand out, but when I get it I’ll post a picture here so we all know what to look for) at my table so all Veeners can recognize eachother. So make sure you stop by the House of Pole table, say Hi and get your bracelet (or whatever) LOL. I’m sort of serving as the Veener hub if you will.

I’m also going to be giving away a free X-Pole in a special raffle on sunday to anyone who places a shoe or pole order from me that weekend so come treat yourself to a pair of shoes (with free shipping in the US) and maybe have a shiny new pole waiting on you when you get home https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

    Yay for conventions!!!!
