I too am having some concerns about my kids and my pole. I have no problem with my kids playing on it. My oldest who is 13 made one attempt to spin on it, it hurt and she was over that quickly.

My two younger ones love to climb it and they naturally do the fireman on it. They can both climb all the way to the top! Kids are so damn agile!

Anywho…the problem is that some of my oldest daughters friends saw my pole, then word got out at school about it and then some kids were laughing at her calling her mom a stripper. I felt so bad for her because she’s very protective of me and was very hrut that people would say that about me.

I explained to her that the pole comes with a negative stigma but that her mom is not a stripper and that she can just tell them that…or better yet, not tell them anything at all. They don’t me and therefore have no right to make any assumptions but….they are kids and kids can be so cruel.

Now I try to hide my pole from her friends. I keep it in my room and when they come over I close my door. I hate having to hide it but not everyone is open minded enough to accept it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

Yup, I agree with the above posts. I use Veenas lessons and I love it.

I bring my laptop in my room, log on and turn on my radio and go for it LOL.

Oh honey don’t beat yourself up! I had a pole party and some of the girls were doing spins it took me weeks to learn on their first try! This is advice I’m not great at following myself but everyone moves at their own pace. I’ve been stuck on the darn Superman for ages now and Foxy Rei got it on her first try! It was upsetting but you have to remember you are yourself and not your twin. I’m sure there’s moves you can do well that she would struggle with so try to keep it in perspective. I don’t want you feeling sad, pole is supposed to be about fun not about how much we can or cant accomplish. Keep going you’ll get there https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif

I was hoping Glitter would chim in here because she went through (is going through) the exact same thing with her and the Superman. She was really pissed (just like you lol). But she’s right, you can’t compare yourself to others it will only make you feel bad.

I know that when I take classes and we are working on spins that everyone else knows and I don’t it can be very intimidating. I just keep working on what I can and look forward to the day that I’ll be that good. There will always be someone more advanced than you or that is able to learn some things faster. Such is life lol https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif You just gotta shrug it off and keep on trucking….and call those people names behind their backs https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_twisted.gif

Wow! That was amazing. The way he mounted….. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif

Ive never seen anything like that. Do you have to be bred to work on a pole to be that skilled? He must be a genetically modified clone or something.

Awww I remember making videos for my hubby while he was deployed. I didn’t have a pole at that time tho LOL. I’m sure hes enjoying it and lucky for you, you made the mistake here and not some place like youtube LOL. V and the master will take care of it I’m sure.

I don’t see any still so I’m not offended and even if I had seen it I probably wouldn’t have been offended anyway https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

I don’t think they sell brass. I like it because it’s easier for me to use, but I’d rather use the chrome and get good on that then get used to brass and suck on chrome.

OMG! You took classes with Mia? You are so lucky to be able to say that LOL, I think she’s amazing. Her dances always make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. She’s the bomb.

Her stuff does look hard though, I can’t imagine trying to do her choreography but I love watching others do it LOL

That really sucks…your job ending and the refund thing. It sounds like you’re doing all the right stuff so you just have to wait and see.

Thanks for the warning though. I was wondering, what did you order and why’d you return it??
