I am coming all by myself from Canada and I have never been in NY, I know, I’m like a country girl for the first time in the city, hahahahahahaha. also, I am booked for Alethea’s workshop on Saturday march 20th, 2:30 to 4pm, is anyone else going to that one???? and I’m at Left Side Orchestra Row S, Seat 3 for the pro competition, I’d like to know if someone from here is sitting close to me.

That sounds like so much fun! I’ll be in the Dominican Republic during the show so I won’t get to go. I’m sure you’ll do great. Post a video of it if you can. Good luck!

Thanks for posting that jungle cat. She is so fabulous! I’m coming to the jam even if my poor little broken toes aren’t 100% healed! See you there!

This is why studios have you sign a waiver before you take classes.

Just a point for those who have studios/are thinking of opening one up. Waivers will almost never hold up if someone sues you for negligence…

Why won’t waivers hold up? Why even have them?

    Wow.

This is why studios have you sign a waiver before you take classes. Pole at your own risk!

I agree! You make the choice to try certain tricks based on what you think your ability is. Pole at your own risk!

I want to go for sure!!!! I moved to northern Va just recently and have never been to Pole Pressure. I saw Jessalynn compete and think she’s amazing so I’d love to pole with her. There’s only one problem……..I broke 2 toes while pole dancing at my studio last night and I don’t know if I’ll be healed by then. I can’t even walk right now! I’m sooooooooo pissed at myself! I’ll keep you posted.

Ouch! That really sux! How did you manage to break two toes on the pole?

It would still be fun to have you at the jam with us. You could work on climbs and sits that don’t require standing… ha

I’m thinking about coming to watch. It’d be fun just to be there. Sissy is injured too right now so we may come as cheerleaders.
I didn’t break them on the pole it was on the cement floor. I came out of a spinning chopper the wrong way. I just let my legs go forward instead of wrapping them around the pole and sliding down. It was stupid. I know better than that.

That would be fun to go and watch. We can be the cheerleaders!

    Welcome!!
I live in Woodbridge, Va. Poling will definitely help with your weightloss goal. I thought I was in pretty good shape until I started poling. It’s a great workout. Have fun with it!

I can totally relate to what you’re saying! When I’m dancing by myself I suddenly forget everything I wanted to do! I feel clumsy and super nervous. I hate it. I’d love to perform more and maybe compete someday so I REALLY need to get over it. I hope we can overcome this soon! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
