Yes, of course. My son is 3, and he takes a spin occasionally. I don’t do serious pole around him because its dangerous though. My son has a thing for women who like to shake it! He thinks Mad Madam Mimm from "The Sword in the Stone" is all woman when she transforms herself all purdy-like and bumps her hips.
On the contrary, when we hide interests/hobbies from our children we give them an idea that pole fitness (and other accomplishments) is something to be ashamed of; depending on perspective and circumstance of course. I don’t know if I would openly have a pole up in my living room if my son was entering puberty though.

I used to have anxiety issues; then I had the haunting experience of being stalked by a suicidal kid who lived next door to me for three weeks when I first moved to a new state and when my husband was freshly deployed in Iraq. To keep a long story short I was able to learn about myself and my higher power by concentrating on all the contributors in my past and present (repression) that instigates anger and anxiety. Sometimes we can reach a level of maturity when the core symptoms of PTSD emerge from childhood. Maybe if you read up on hypnosis and the unique frequencies our brains operate under can help you, for example breathing, pain control, relaxation techniques, etc. Getting educated on specifically what happens in your brain can help because it allows one to better self parent. Knowing when you get low blood sugar is good because there are so many grumpy people cruising around and all they need to do is have a small snack to cheer up. Please remember that life isn’t perfect, and when we’re at a low, and learn to control it, more balance can be achieved, and the adrenaline we get addicted to can be limited to the pole only (or whatever floats your boat) It will be okay https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

oops, I didn’t view your vid until after my first post, I originally suggested the faithful chair technique. The pain tolerance on this bad boy takes awhile. You look good, don’t try to be a hero and continue to go for safety and stability, then you can go in and out with confidence and safety. The hard work will pay off.

you look good, how do you critique yourself? are you still going for your own style? meaning some people add flare with pointed ballet toes and "spirit fingers"…congrats on all your progress. (btw, my suggestions don’t have too much weight because I currently don’t have any pics or vids posted)

    Are you just starting out?
I start out with a warm up, usually a dance, but I get a better response from warming up from head to toe with traditional non dance movements and lifts. After that the dance movements, and routines come in with climbs to warm up the deeper muscle tissue. I actually have a list of moves that I work on to stay focused on muscle memory and development for more fluidity. Mid workout I start the first deep stretches for flexibility with a lot of yoga, then continue on the pole. I unfortunately don’t have either the time or energy to pole more than twice a week, and I prefer strength training to pole in terms of advancing quicker, flexibility and safety. I usually pole at night once my son is in bed because it clears my head from the mental clutter that builds up during the day, and the total pole training is usually an hour and a half to two hours if I’m lucky.
Good luck with your future pole success!

This topic is absolutely hilarious! When I first started poling I’d rip a good one, and fortunately my body doesn’t do it anymore. The continued development of muscle to handle the strength moves has prevented this embarrassing issue; meaning, my core and upper body have more control so my girly area doesn’t have that muscle contraction to cause the fem fart. Obviously everyone’s body is different, and working the pole is a unique experience, but there is hope for gaining more control in the future!

Hi! I’m in the same boat as you, no pole studios, and no luck in my area finding some serious pole maniacs who want to work hard at it. Enjoy!

Aww thx! I’m in the Ft. Drum area about 70 miles north of Syracuse, it’s mainly farm and Amish country so us pole dancing heathens need to get our pole dance gratification from youtube…*no offense to anyone’s religiosity by the way https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
