Sounds like over tightening to me. Mine makes that noise if I screw it too tight against the ceiling.

I have RSI in my wrists and can’t put any weight on them (ever!) in certain positions eg cartwheels.
I’ve had it consistently for about 5 years and I’ve learnt to live with it. When I pole I just use simple hand wraps designed for boxing. £2 from eBay. They come 3m long but I just cut mine shorter. They are great because you can wrap them as tightly or loosely as you want and they don’t affect your grip at all because you just put them round the wrist, not the hand. PLUS they are super cheap and come in every colour under the sun.I don’t let my RSI stop me from doing anything on the pole. In fact, since I started poling my wrists have felt better than ever. Good luck 🙂 xx

Wow that’s fantastic! I would like to give it a try but I think it’s a little beyond my pumpkin carving skills!

Thank you! I will have a look! My pole teacher never mentioned anything about muscle engagement either… I appreciate the advice 🙂

Unless the dizziness is just from the spinning pole… In which case it’s probably not anaemia

Have you been to your doctor and had a blood test for anemia? Anemia causes dizziness especially when doing physical activity and so it could be that you have low iron and just need to take iron supplements/ adjust your diet. I had it, it’s quite common. Just something to think about…!
