Hey there. I just wanted to say, my first pole was a 50mm, and I really liked it. I was awesome for learning on for leg and hangs and everything, but now that I have my 45mm, I wouldn't trade it for anything. Handsprings and pretty much any move instantly became easier for me and I have pretty decent sized hands. I can just grip the pole so much sturdier now…

For jade and chopsticks, moves like that are all about over splits. Hope that helps 🙂

You HAVE to make sure your body is warmed up properly…You Know I'm really strong, and even basic moves can make me pull a muscle or feel really sore If I'm dumb enough to skip a warm up. They're REALLY important 🙂

If you were fairly flexible before, You gain regain your flexibility fairly easily with consistant stretching. Try to find a small window once a day for some basic stretches. I was fairly flexible a few years ago, I could do center splits before, but never regular splits. I startes stretching about two months ago and Now I have my front splits on both sides when I warm my body up 🙂 We do a bendy buddies thing on thursday nights in the chat room if you ever want to join. It's 8pm east coast time…I live in Az s it's 6pm my time 🙂

MemberDecember 30, 2010 at 9:01 pm in reply to: What is this move called and how do you do it?It’s a shoulder roll https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif I’m right handed and this is how I do it…One arm usually lays flat on the ground beside you extended at a slight angle…for me this is my right arm, My left arm reaches behind your head Kind of as if you were going to try and do a back bend. Keep in mind that when you are getting ready to bring your legs over your head That you are putting pressure on your right shoulder (the arm that is flat) and leaning your head twards the left….Keep bringing your legs over your right shoulder and let your head sort of slip through the area of space that is created under your left arm (remember how your left arm is bent behind you, It makes kind of a triangle shape?? That’s were your head slips through)
I’m not a professional, But I learned this moved from someone who teaches pole for a living…hopefully I explained it well enough. I hope you get it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif -

MemberDecember 15, 2010 at 4:54 am in reply to: club audition outfit ideas/stripper dancing tipsI’ll be honest honey, For the most part…Unless you’re going to work in a high class strip club (the kind of place that doesn’t allow tattoo’s,ect) You should be fine wearing ANYTHING. I meant it. I used to dance and I had outfits that ranged from lacy naughty girl next-door type- to bondage-ish- to just triangle tops and g strings. It seemed like different outfits did attract different types of men, But I still walked out with about the same amount of money each time over a two year period….There was one time I bought a really sexy new pair of shoes though…and maybe it was just because I was in a good mood, But I made 700 dollars that night…and it was a TUESDAY!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif They were 8 inch clear, strapless, spike heel pleasers!lol!
The one thing You DO want on your body is a naughty smile on your face, and an air of confidense when you walk out on the stage! CONFIDENCE SELLS!! I swear it does!!! Good luck honey!! <3 Own that stage!

It might just be a result of over tightening…It’s making the noise when it’s on spin mode, right? My other pole made a funny noise when it was on spinny because I kepy it really tight…I can’t be sure that this is the issue for you, But I thought I’d share.

How far can you push yourself away from the pole when you’re in TG? I can only get my tg lift less than 40 percent of then time lately…and I haven’t successfully caught it on camera yet… When I have gotten it though… It feels like its a certain muscle in my upper back area that just "clicks" I have to hang in just the right postion to stretch it a little, I push myself out from the pole (when I push away from the pole, I’m about halfway up) From that point I either straighten one leg, and then slowly unbend the other as I’m lifting them and my bum up over my head, or I bring both of my knees to my chest, keep lifting my bum up, and then sraighten my legs out…It takes a lot of weird muscle groups…and a lot of people do it differently so It is hard to say…Just keep practing!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_salut.gif

Ok, I had this problem a lot when I was first learning ckr…I eventually found out that it was from the way I was practicing lowering myself into the move. When you actually do the full move, like let go of the pole and lean back all the way…The way your knee is across the pole, and from the way your leaning, there will be a lot of space between your tailbone and the pole. You won’t be resting on it anymore when you finally fully enter the move and lean back correctly. Maybe try it with a spotter around, and make sure you feel comfortable doing it. Now that I’ve perfected it when I do it, I just fall back into the move, and it never touches my tailbone anymore https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif I hope this helped!!
