Good to know, Jade! I actually wan't going to go that crazy, but I still need to keep myself in check. The crack will be hidden, but its spirit will be present for all the see.

PowerTwirl: I have been known to throw in some amazingly classless moves to further the stereotype of us being strippers in disguise, lol. Most of Youtube has seen both nipples. At once. On purpose. God help the audience in VA.

I am doing Level 3 Entertainment. Get hyped for some ignorance on stage.

Poel and work drama . . . FML. Here's my story: I was fired by two different employers because they found out I was a pole dancr (performer, teacher, but not stripper). I was at a non-profit as a diversity recruiter for college interns. The first was my FT job that I was at for a little over a year. At first they urged me to "consider my cyber reputation" and think about taking things down. I told them thanks but I'm not going back into the closet about this. Six weeks later, I'm filing for unemployment. Of course, there was no talk of pole being the reason for my termination, but the timing is very coincidental.
Job #2 was to be a receptionist at a school. I didn't even make it to my first day. They gave me an offer, sent me paperwork, then recinded everything once the background and Google check turned up all my pole stuff. They told me outright it was because I pole and they didn't know how they would explain it to the families, students or donors.
I defend both institutions' rights to eliminate percieved threats to their success — that's leadership. What hurts me to the core and makes me cry from my soul is that I was (and am) considered harmful. I'm just a nice person who is smart. Because I pole dance, all of my intellegence and worth was negated.

Hi there!
Weight, pole strength . . . what a fucking triplet. During the early pole career, I was 234lba (5'5"). I had zero strength, zero dance training and zero gymnastics. I know EXACTLY how you feel — I've lost weight, but I'm still the biggest girl in my class. That can be quite intimidating, but fuck that shit — YOU GOT THIS!
As to what you can do specifically, you've got some great suggestions already. The most important thing is to keep VARIETY in your workouts. When your body gets too good at one thing, it stops working hard and you don't improve shit. Every 2-3 months, find a new way to move your body. Even if it is the same type of exercise, say lifting weight, find new variations to the moves your doing. Small adjustments can make the world of difference.
Most importantly, please understand that you are NEVER alone. Honestly, it does take me longer to learn certain moves becuse I have more weight to move, but I still lrn them. My road to Divahood is long and slow, which is incredibly frustrating. But this sport is a marathon, not a sprint. Just keeping walking forward, one foot at a time.

I pulled my left ham when doing a standing split during my USPDF audition video. Epic auditiuon fail, lol. Dropping into splits is my #1 favorite dismount of all time, so not being able to do them nearly as deep as I used to (yet) has made me so angry. The healing process is slower that what I would have liked, but it was REALLY helpful for me to read this thread. I don't have insurance, so I've had my trainer friends massage me and remind me to foam roll constantly. I hope you get better soon!

I am the most self loathing person I know, but here is my best shot.
I really like my 40DD boobs and thick thighs!
