I'm in this exact same situation. It's depressing the hell out of me. This is something I'd not even heard of until I was already pregnant. I've been poling for two years and I'm worried that this will prevent me from getting back at it as soon as I'd like once my baby's born. And of course, I'm worried about how I will look, and whether this will have any effects on my ability to pole. I'd always had very strong abs, and had continued working them through my first couple of trimesters in the hopes that maintaining a strong core would help me in labour. But I'm afraid I may have done more harm than good. I can't tell, but it feels like the separation is more than three fingers. 🙁

This is so exciting, most of the girls I pole with are average height to tall! I'm new to StudioVeena but have been poling for almost two years, and I'm 4'8". I find a 45mm pole much easier to grip than 50mm, although it's a bit more challenging for leg or knee holds; just something that you need to get used to. I go through a LOT of grip aid (Dry Hands), particularly on the backs of my knees if I'm having trouble staying up. Retrowombat, maybe that would help?
Right now the one thing I'm really struggling with is superman to shouldermount (or dove). I can't do it without someone helping to hold me up and fold me back. I have a very short torso. Anyone else experienced this or found a solution?
