Exactly how I see it too about Karol's tiny self can do booty shaking then perhaps I can too. I would take her booty class for sure.

I had my body fat measured at the gym when I was a member and at the end of my membership I got it done.
I think there's some biggest loser scales out there that measures all of that.
There is also a calculation to measure your body fat as well.
Should you have a personal trainer then he/she can do that for you as well but that means you get body measurments on paper and monitor.
As far as wt goes that muscle weighs more than fat and what you want is to lose inches. Your clothes will tell you as well when your slimming down.
If you are gaining wt in a bad way then one needs to look at their diet consumption. What has helped me is (although I am not a true Paleo) but the paleo diet works well. It is high protein, fruits 'n veggies…lots of water and try to stay off the beer or wine until your losing what you want to lose. I have allowed myself a cheat day and when I do have what I crave for …lol That when I eat it then it truly tastes funny and not as good as I had imagined.

When I started to pole I had 32G's …lol Now I have lost weight and mostly body fat and last I checked I was at 18% body fat. I think it's down a bit more. Anyways all to say is I also lost cup size from G's to DD's now.
I had to get specially fitted for bras and they don't come cheap either as they don't make anything 32 above a C cup. I would recomend that you get properly fitted. :O
My Ortho Dr. recomended strongly that I run post shoulder injury…I think he had good intentions but didn't really look at me to suggest such thing…https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif I did run on the treadmill and I knew I had to start working out again through the agony of it all. I divided certain activities as a one bra or 2 bra sport type thing as I didn't want to injure anyone at the gym…https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_safesex.gif Apparently it didn't matter as men/guys would stare anyways & women have asked me if they were real and I say yes, home grown.
I found pole to be the best activity so far that works for me so far. I am now a size 4 and have no clothes that fit me properly either as the tops are different from the bottoms. None of the pole outfits top fit properly other than present like a mamogram aka boob squisher and does nothing for my God given figure. I have contacted someone to make me a pole outfit or two but she is very busy & remain on her list.

I agree with Veena re: I thought it was odd to name the studio but it is the class that is called that and it's on a Sunday.
Being a Christian myself and I am on the prayer ministry team at my church as well. I lost a few friends on fb re: me on pole fitness/ pole dancing. I was chastized by one of my long time friends over 20 yrs where we fought one night about it. It was rather unsettling and I was ready to say fairwell my friend and be gone. She turns around and is asking me to help her lose wt. I told her what she needs to do but weather or not she is well…discipline. I don't know what happened but she is one of my best supporters now and so is her daughter. Interestingly enough that another close friend of hers daughter is doing pole fitness in the adjacent town/city east of mine.
I was told in the paoc years ago that dancing was a sin and it devastated me so much my sould cried. I can't explain that either. Anyways, I searched old and new testament re: dance and music.
Dance: Moses sister danced and played the timbral & danced. Exodus 15:20 Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took the timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.
2 Sam 6-14 Then David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod.
In the old testament the word dance occurs 9 times. I din't look up danced, dancing, or celebrating for here because it would be too long.
Music/ Noise where for the life of me can't find the article I wrote to a friend re: music/noise and the reference. Anyways, the pre-amble is this: People were approaching a place and from afar it sounded like noise but upon approaching it was worship music with all kinds of instruments playing together in one accord making a sweet sound where a large celebration was taking place.
I find it interesting that many scriptures of dance/music are also in the old testament 'under law' aka and it is mentionned as well in the new testament where we are under Grace/Mercy/& Forgiveness. …
It took me awhile to break off of me what man has imposed on me re: rules & regulations and this is how your to be a good little christian woman…
Women (Christian & non-Christian or aka non-believers) both need a safe place to do pole fitness.
I have been in a studio where it was cheesy and into touching yourself…I thought "You gotta be kidding me, right?"
Anyways, there are some good Gospel/ Christian music out there that is good for pole.
i.e. JoAnn McFatter's cd's are really good for pole -One cd is called Temple Dance (and it's not what you think) This music was intended for soaking or resting in His presence or aka meditation/ and or contemplative prayer. Other cd's by her is "Fire by Night" , I have a few that I personally play on my pole at home alone to because there isn't a Studio that will play for me the music I like or in the mood for. I must say some music in some studio where I was taking private lessons had music that to me was distasteful and would tell her can you change that …to the point where after awhile she new my point. I don't like songs with swear words ….
Words to me spoken or in music are powerful and a good reference to a small book by: Masaru Emoto called, The Miracle Of Water. Our bodies btw are 2/3 water.
Also, at my church in Toronto: We flag, and dance is aloud and in fact encouraged during worship time should you feel like it. In some instances, and amazing to see that dancing in the spirit occurs. I wouldn't mind having a manifestation where poling in the spirit would occur. 😉 I would like that for me anyways and to get lost in it would be a wonderful experience.

I agree with you about that 'stigma' and were not helping by having names that does not represent what we are doing. It's sending out mixed messages that in effect causes a schizophrenic society. Our society is damaged enough I think.
Men have horizontal bars as in weightlifting & we have a vertical bar that we use our body wt.
Did you know that originally that wrestlers used to use the pole to train?
In the sense too I don't want our feminity be taken away from the pole either.
I have come to a point now that I quit defending the pole and let it be as it doesn't matter how much I educate people that their thoughts are their thoughts and I am not responsible for them. I stay away from such people and surround myself with positive uplifting people.

Did you use a stud finder to know exactly where to put the pole?
Perhaps I am also thinking if where you are if the house/building is old or newer. If it is older and maybe even new that structure wise there is something wrong. Maybe if it's wood beams that are rotting, and if it's steal beams then no.
You may be doing the owner a favor without knowing.

Well I guess I am normal then…lol I am looking for a new place and ceiling height is a priority.
When I asked the realtor 2 or 3 times about ceiling height he was confused as to why that was soooo important. He didn't know the ceiling height and had to get back to me.

I have created a 'pole journal'.
section for:
-lifts
-spins
-trick
-transitional moves
-wikipole pics on what I want to do
i.e. I tracked my superman with date and how many times I tried. I would try it 10 times everytime. I can't believe how long it took me to get. I got the shoulder mount much sooner.
The plank took me a long time too.
Then I check it off once I get it on a consistent basis.
I also use my camera to video to see my lines and where I can improve.
