The biggest thing that will cause your pole to stick is if you use the Release Rods to TIGHTEN the poles…make sure you only hand tighten the poles. I don’t take my poles down every month but I do go through and while the pole is up…take the Release Rod and loosen all the joints then gently re tighten. I’m a cheater. The exact same thing happened to my pole! I wasnt cleaning it with window cleaner, I was using alcohol but I was drying it completely and all that but I still have marks and a little rust on my pole! In fact the finish on my pole where I usually place my hands for spins seems to be worn. I dunno, maybe its normal…But it sure is irritating!

MemberFebruary 7, 2010 at 11:30 pm in reply to: what do you say when people call it a "stripper pole"?I just call it my Pole! And anyone who doesnt know that I have a pole would say something along the lines of "You do pole dancing?", to which I PROUDLY reply, "I sure do and I freakin LOVE it!" And then they might say, "You have one in your house? Is it in your bedroom?" *cue: creepy leery stare*, to which I reply, "No its in my Pole Room, duh!" https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

Hi and welcome! I do think that Veena’s lessons are worth it! She is brilliant at breaking down spins and tricks. She’s a former personal trainer and an awesome pole dancer so she knows her stuff! There are great preparatory exercises in her lessons too so while you’re anxiously awaiting your pole you could be getting ready with those in the mean time! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

I think you should get the X-Pert because I think you will eventually want to do spinny mode and you might as well have the option from the beginning so that you dont have to buy a new pole after a while!

I never take my pole down! Last time I took it down it had been up for about 6 months but my husband was able to take it down and apart (with force of course!) eventually!
