hipshaker, I have the exact same problem!!! I can do loads on the poles in the studio and when I try to do it at home I fail! I think it might be that there’s more space in the studio or something! It drives me crazy anyway thats all I know!

Do you mean what is the first inverting trick we learned?
I learned to do pole climbs and sits before inverting but the first invert I learned was Inverted Crucifux. -
Will there be alcohol involved?
Or is it a party for non-drinkers? -
The quick release tools are great. They dont damage the holes in your pole like the rods that the x-pole give with the pole when you buy it. I dont have them but the studio where I do lessons has them and I borrow them when I need to take down my pole and they’re just brilliant.

Yes I would recommend wrist bands if its really really painful, they’ll certainly help with the burn. This move gave me wrist burn in the start too but it doesnt really do that to me now that Im used to it.

Oh my God you poor thing. Thats so long for you to be in pain!!! Did the doctor even give you anything to take to ease the pain? Gosh I hope you can see someone about it soon!

I agree with litlbit, its nothing to do with your age and dont be hard on yourself!! Only do what you’re comfortable doing. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

You were right to quit the lessons if you were unhappy. That was you can learn at your own pace and in your own time without having to feel bad! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
Who are you getting in trouble with for doing moves differently???? -
Hi Debbie https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
Thank you for the compliment about my photos *blushes*
Its hard to say how long Ive been poling really. Ive had my pole for a year and 10 months. BUT in the 1st year there was long periods of time where my pole had to be taken down and then I was out of the country for a few months last Summer too. I really got into pole dancing properly and started practicing regularly after I discovered this site! When I joined here in October 2008 I only knew how to do a few spins and a basic invert!!! Being here on this site has motivated me to learn so much more. I take studio lessons and I teach myself using videos from here and youtube. I now practice once of twice a week as opposed to one or twice a month and all thanks to this site! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
I think this site will motivate you more too! And dont worry, we all progress at different rates and we should try not to compare ourselves with others! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif -
Girl it looks to me like you’ve got it!!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
Great suggestion from Veena to do a caterpillar first!!! I would never have thought of that!!! I guess thats why she’s a pole goddess!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
