thank you Veena for this. I have been through an extreme amount of change since my last baby was born and ..whew..boy don’t i know the feeling of saggy boobs and stretch marks. they are everywhere it seems..
(exdiva) the cellulite..I’m guilty there too..i just hate it when a girl who is a size 0 and no marks what so ever no kids and nothing to complain about say that she is fat..now that part i don’t understand. If your shoulder bones are stickin out, why would you say you need to lose weight? it’s this girl i know that is like that and she makes me soo frustrated b/c i’m like girl, YOU NEED TO EAT!! lol she don’t need to lose anything b/c she’s already so skinny( sick lookin skinny) so UgH sorry had a rant for a second..lol..but back to the subject, thank you again Venna we areALL beautiful in our own way and no two women are the same and THAT and only THAT is what makes us ALL unique!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

and for essbie…you are beautiful hun!!! don’t ever let a man (or woman) tell you any different!! If we all looked the same then ppl would be bored because there would be no seperation from everyone. noone would be unique..and in my book, that just isn’t the way it’s supposed to be..well ttfn!!

My best friend is 6’3" and 145 lbs but doesnt exercise and eats terribly. She’s much thinner than I am but we’ve tried to go running together and she’s huffing and puffing after a block. Im getting to the stage where I’d rather be strong and fit than rail thin and stuffing myself with cheeseburgers!

Er, I can attest to that one. On the outside, I am thin, and fairly fit-looking. But inside, I’m kind of pathetic. Even when I was doing full-on yoga, I had the cardio stamina of a 98 year old smoker. So while I look like the picture of health, I’ve got a long way to go! I can’t pole full out for more than a 4 minute song, and even after that, I’ve burned up so much fuel I’m shaking. I’m very unhealthy and really trying to do something about it. We can only start where we are.

oh my yagobeachbabe…i can attest to that as well..i myself don’t look like i’m in bad shape but like you, i can’t do more than 30 mins of poling at a time. and when i do i shake all over..joggin? not me..lol..couldn’t breath if i tried. but i am a smoker so not really good.lol..currently trying to kick the habit…well nice to meet you all I’m Katrina by the way..lol..xoxo https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

As with most moves the "grip" will hurt like hell until your skins gets accustomed to being used in that manner. The grip used in the gemini is no different. Think on your knee as a third hand when you go to grip the pole. Make sure once you have the pole in the "pit" of your knee, you have your foot/toe pointing towards the ground. This creats a stronger hold.

As far as the elbow grip…same thing.. think of it as another hand. You also need to lean away from the pole. If you don’t do this you would go straight down. Try to creat a triangle with your arms and the pole. I hope this makes sense. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Twisted grip?? That takes a lot of range of motion in your wrist and forearm…I’m still trying that one out..probably be a while unitl I get it!

    Good luck!

thanks girl this has been really helpful!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
