I have a wide toe box and Pleaser do NOT fit. I used to love Jante, but they quit making them. On occasion I can find them on overstock type websites, but they are getting harder and harder to find. Tony shoes and even The Highest Heel are better options for me.

MemberMarch 21, 2019 at 11:15 pm in reply to: I need to hear “I returned from rotator cuff repair surgery†stories 🤕I managed to tear my supraspinatus off the top of my humerus, and the icing on the cake was a rip into the labrum as well. I had been having a nagging little issue for about 8 years. Nothing terrible, but every once in awhile I’d get a sharp, stabbing pain. But it would go away almost immediately. Had an MRI done and the doc said it looks “slightly” torn, but no worries! PT would get it right back in shape. 8 weeks of PT and I had no relief. Did 2x weekly acupuncture as well. When I finally had the surgery my doc was ummm.. shocked, to say the least. He said it was a sh*tshow in there, and I was completely immobile for the first two weeks. It was mentally devastating. I literally couldn’t even wipe my own a**.
Fast forward almost 2 years now: I’m back and feeling great. There are some moves I just don’t do any more. Not because I’ve been told not to, but because of my own mental issues. (Anything inverted with a reverse elbow grip.) Rehab was tough. Not gonna lie. But the worst part of the surgery and recovery was getting out of my own head. We tend to be our own worst critics, and in this situation it was truly awful. In retrospect, it absolutely needed to be done. It was humbling to literally re-learn EVERYTHING! But what an amazing opportunity to clean up some old, bad habits! So yes, I CAN say “I returned from rotator cuff surgery”!

I know the bottle says wait 30 seconds for it to dry, but in my personal experience, if I can wait 60-75seconds the product lasts longer and grips better. Hope this helps! â¤ï¸

I like my pole like I like my men and martinis: just a little dirty. 😘

I’m going to be at Expo! I know there have been more workshops added since they were selling out so quickly. Check the Expo website again! Yippee!

I did like the information in the video. I also liked that she used a pole for a portion of the stretches. I wasn’t really crazy about the music she had. I understand she was working with a local band, and I appreciate that she is supporting them and they were able to work together. It just didn’t tickle my fancy is all.

I’ve had luck with Pole Physics lotion. I put it on after my morning shower and I’m good to go when I teach in the evening. Per their recommendation, you’re supposed to use it 7-10 hrs prior to poling. So that’s what I’ve done. Not sure how well it works if you use it sooner than that time frame though. I got it at Pole Expo, but I know they have a website where you can order it.
I also love my , which I can put on right before poling. The “light” formula isn’t quite enough, so I stick with the “medium” level.
Good luck Sister! 😘 -

I like a studio that makes me feel welcome when I walk in the door.
I want the studio clean.
I want to know the instructors believe in training students in a safe and progressive manner.
I want to have a clean, safe area to park. Location is important, but not paramount.
“Community” is the feeling that should be in the studio. Instructors should foster a sense of “yes you can” rather than “look at me”.
If you give me a discount for referring my friends I’ll send them over!
I’d like some retail, so I can get my grip aids or tank tops right now, rather than having to wait for it to be shipped to me. Know that I’m proud to wear my pole studio tank top! Also, make sure I can buy water, in case I forgot mine!
I’d like to be able to take other classes as well, like yoga or maybe belly dancing or hoop.
Make sure you take credit cards, since I rarely carry cash.
Clearly state your studio policies, so I don’t get upset about any confusion. For example, what’s your policy on coming into class late, can I wear heels, am I on a month-to-month or a fiscal month renewal, do you require me to sign a contract, what is dress code (if any!), how do you handle drop-ins, do I get a discount on things like bachelorette parties or workshops, and other little things that could potentially turn into big things! -
ASCAP quoted me $35/mo based on my number of students. BMI I believe runs about the same. Studio owners, they are actively looking for us. This is not something to be ignored. They are more than happy to get nasty about this. Make sure you understand what the laws are regarding music in your studio.

Just a question: Have you paid ASCAP and BMI so you are able to use the music legally?
