Please beware of the attachment point. I was looking for the same thing. I found a studio space with 23′ ceilings, but landlord would not let me do a perm mount. I had a structural engineer come in and look at the trusses and he said they would have to be reinforced to withstand the torque of such a tall pole. I actually got a reinforcement quote and EEK!! So please just be aware that an okay from the pole manufacturer may not mean its all good. Be safe sister. 😉

Gummypia- if living in Las Vegas teaches you anything it’s how to entertain guests and stay within a budget! It’s so cheap to fly to Vegas from just about anywhere that the guest room rarely empty! I’m looking forward to a quieter island lifestyle! Whew! And Hilo is WAAAY slow!! 😉 can’t wait to meet you! Yippee!!

They will be stainless 50mm. I’ve used the regular x-stages before, but I ordered the x-stage lites for the studio. Since I’m coming into a yoga studio I need them portable & the lites are going to be much easier to move. I’ll let you know when they get in!
I’ve never flown Go! before. I’ve not had the need to island hop yet. Good to know its worth the extra $$ to fly Hawaiian. 😉

Kimara at X-Stage gave me a SMOKIN' deal. Dependable Hawaiian Express is shipping them over for about 1/2 the price as other shippers. I will refer to DHX for ANYTHING else I need shipped here. The poles/stages will be 10 feet. Good enough! I'll keep you in the loop about Pole Jams we will have. Watch Go! for good kama'aina rates and maybe we can plan some pole play around a cheap flight. Whee!!

Gettiing in late on the conversation,so SORRY! I just relocated from Las Vegas to the Big Island of Hawaii, Hilo side. I was Fawnia's lead instructor back at home, and I've been gimping around on a little 8foot pole here at the new house since Dec. 1st. So I'm ready to take the plunge…I've secured my space, ordered the poles (x-stages, as I would have had to reinforce the ceiling trusses otherwise. $$$ Eek!) and am in the arduous process of getting my LLC dissolved in Nevada and submitted in Hawaii. Insurance is lined up, and starting to spread the word little by little. There aren't any studios on the Big Island right now, but I'm in the midst of training a gal who owns a Pilates studio on the west side of the island, so we will have options available for most who are interested. By spring time we will have legit pole classes here. YIPPEE!!

Sometimes this can be from gripping the pole too tight with your fingers, rather than trying to grip with your hand. Be concientious about grasping the hand around the pole rather than squeezing with the fingers.

If you go to PoleNation.com and type in the zip code near you it will give you list of studios in the area.  You can write studio reviews on the site as well.

If you go to http://www.PoleNation.com you can find studios by zip code AND leave reviews of studios for others who are in your position.

I can only do it it the "open" pose.  https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif Wish I could do both, but the pressure on my knee isn't worth it….

Are you willing/able to travel to Vegas? You would have ample opportunity here. I can put you in touch with audition folks as well if that might be an option for you.

Is the screw just spinning inside the mount? Or is the allen wrench spinning when you try to unscrew it?  Is is mounted in a wood joist?

Lyme Lyte- MasterJ Moves is in Philly and while I’ve never actually taken a class there I have met the owners and some students. I’ve enjoyed them all. They also offer men’s classes as well. I’ve got no affiliation, just my opinion…
