that’s insane! here’s my message i sent:
To Whom it May Concern:
My name is Jillian Olsen, and I am an avid pole fitness athlete and instructor. I would like to reference order number 0010544613 for Christopher Brand. I’m astonished at the treatment of this order, or the treatment of Christopher Brand through customer service over the phone. I do not appreciate that the apparatus pictured in the silhouette was repeatedly referred to as a ‘stripper pole’, despite ongoing correction. To many in our SPORT, this is called a ‘dance pole’, and when corrected, it is respectful that the correction be taken note of.
The woman that was to receive these custom ordered M&M’s is a fellow pole fitness instructor and professional athlete. Pole dance is her full-time job and passion. There are thousands of women AND men in the world that share the very same passion for this dance form. The image in question is a silhouette of a very advanced move that takes great skill, agility, balance, and strength to accomplish. To demean this image by calling it unsightly for children or too provocative to be printed is an insult, not only to her, but to the pole fitness community. If this was a gymnast doing the same move on uneven parallel bars I find it hard to believe you would have deemed it equally "provocative."
I’m also gobsmacked because I seem to recall an advertisement for your green M&M candy where she is actually preforming on stage with a pole and "STRIPPING" her green candy coat…if it’s slipping your mind please, watch your own commercial here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKnCLHX6X4k and refresh your memory. WOW! WHAT HYPOCRITES! So THAT was okay for children to see but a tiny silhouette for a private order is an outrage?
I, for one, am horribly disappointed in your company. Perhaps, before you make assumptions, you should do some research in order to make a truly informed decision. This is a beautiful image of an athlete that you should be proud to print on your candies, especially for a professional athlete’s birthday gift. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I will not be using your service in the future, nor will I recommend your company to others.

wow I know I’m way late on this… Foxy is right stainless is LEAST grippy. I have used all those poles, personally i dont like any of them but X- Pole. Lil Mynx is slick as all get out and it scoots on the carpet which can be dangerous, as well as its not near as sturdy as an X Pole…(that’s the standard Lil Mynx Im talking about. I havnt used any of the other ones they now offer) but i really disliked the grip/stability factor when I played on my girlfriends Lil Mynx.
I also wasn’t a huge fan of PS…i thought they were slick also…compared to my chrome X. But they were ok.
I love Brass…its GREAT for grip. But yes I recommend X pole…hands down. Its worth the extra money and taking it down and putting it up may be a tad tricky the first maybe 2-3 times but I can set that thing up in 5 minutes, ALONE…and ive only taken it down a few times. Get an X pole anyone reading this wonder which to get haha!

i LOVED karol’s vids when I was beginning…I mean I still DO love them but, I dont know what it was about her vids. Maybe they seemed more real to me than the other ‘good’ girls who had pro vids, and were in all these competitions with those chicks it just seemed like "Oh, I’d never be able to do that" but karols vids made me think I could do it someday <– haha I was wrong. It’s nuts how much she has improved even, she was like the Goddess of pole to me when I started and you can see how much more polished and perfect everything she does is now VS back then

Yes I willbe at USPDF and actually I went back and watched the vid when I posted this and was like OMG! haha back in the day i had no idea who she was but I deff know now haha!!

I saw a USPDF entry video that just A-MAZED me I thought she was like the sexiest woman alive…and her caterpillar climb and teddy made me go..OMG i have to do this…also RG was a really cool looking move I wanted, and Jade too but not until I was into poling a little more.
