Thanks for taking the time to respond to my post! I wasn’t expecting that :-). I actually moved to Fargo last February after taking an offer straight out of college. I was living and pretty much grew up in metro-Atlanta, but I was actually born in Quebec.
I’m doing this as a surprise to my fiancé (still living in Atlanta), and so I guess I’m a little antsy to get some cool moves under my belt before February when I fly down. I promise not to rush things to much and take it slow.
Thanks again for the response! I appreciate it!

Thanks for the advice. My studio takes it really slow, and I like that because I don’t feel like I’m falling behind. I never realized that it would take a year to get comfortable with that; I thought it would be something like 3-5 months or so. That makes me feel a little less bad about the speed of my progression.I’ll double check the pole hold video and focus on my scapula and arm positioning.
Thanks again!

So, I’m a complete newb in the pole community but I would have to say the person who gives me the most inspiration is Anastasia Sokolova. Gorgeous, gorgeous routines. I’m NO WHERE near this level (can’t even invert yet), but I can’t wait to be able to do some of those moves.
