I honestly got my xpert certification just to be safe. I am self taught at home and never grew learning from another teacher. It was nice to see if I was doing things right while explaining. And spotting. I am not yet teaching and I prob will never own my own studio. I just will fill in for a friend at hers when she is not available since thats all i really want to do. I dont mind if i dont teach at all. I just like that I have some good tips. =) Plus it was really fun so lol.

I think its fine certified or not certified as long as you know how to teach safley and correctly. And know how to spot.

I honestly never was a show person. I wanted my own pair of heels just to practice in them for more of a workout since its way harder for me to dance in them on the pole. I LOVE LOVE LOVE dancing barefoot. I am a bellydancer lol. I just love it. But ive been wearing my heels more and more an now I just dont want to take them off lol. I love my heels bc they make me feel like a different person. ( I love feeling like a bellydancer as well when i pole dance) but i dont JUST feel like a bellydancer trying to pole dance in my heels like i do bare foot. When i wear them I feel Like i know what im doing lol. They have also made me have better pointed toes in my bellydance class i noticed. I heared heels are not good for your feet, which is fine, neither is the dancing i do on my feet lol. but when i take them off i feel like pointing my feet is on auto piolet and i dont have to think about it lol! I cant ex i just love it now. tho i still and always will love dancing bare foot as well. i have 6, 7 an 8 inches. the 6 are the easiest of chorse but the 7 i think it perfect for me bc its just enough height. I only love 8 inches if they are boots bc they give me more support around my ankle to walk in them) my 8 inch boots i fell i can run in them with the ankle suppose they give me. hmm now i have to learn how to dance in them in a graceful way lol.

I bring my shorts, (havnt brought heels to a workshop yet) but most will, a towel to wipe my self, tho u normally dont need to bring your own rag and alcohol to wipe your own pole, i do lol. Water, snacks, a notebook and pen for notes. camera just in case! lol. sometimes ill even bring a pair of yoga pants for the warm up since im weird and dont like warming up in shorts. sometimes leg warmers lol. some grip aid. a hair tie. spray and deodorant for after lmao!  I bring alot lol.

If youve never done yoga before any yoga for beginners dvds will be great for you. I forgot the woman i started with. But i moved on to gary kraftsow after wards. ( not sure what other dvds he has but the oens i had were more for a therputic cause not purposley becomming flexi) Then kind of took what i liked out of those random dvds and made me own routine. and over the years i keep chaning it. I have alethea austins stretching dvds as well. Which she really does have alot of pointers in stretching. But so do all of the dvds i have gotten so i dont think you can go wrong. sorry im not much help! when u search , im sure someone will catch your eye. you can even start on youtube if you dont want to spend money. maybe go on google images for yoga poses. pick which ones u like find out the names of them and if you want to see how its done youtube each one and over time you will remember them on your own.!
