The best regarded portable rig is made by Trevor Boswell at http://www.trapezerigging.com It’s not cheap, but this is definitely an industry where you get what you pay for. Also worth noting is that his price includes shipping in the continental US while most others charge several hundred dollars for shipping.

While it is *possible* it does have some technical difficulties. The primary problem is that the vaulted ceiling mount is designed to be loaded in compression, not tension. The small screws supplied with it are not sufficient to support the load of a moving person. They would need to be replaced with longer bolts that go through a load distributing plate that is then attached to the ceiling.
The second major issue is how to attach the Lyra rigging to the mount it would be nice to use the existing bearing but there’s no simple and safe way to do that and that bearing is also not designed to be loaded in tension. You would probably end up having to loop a sling over the swiveled part or the mount, which would probably end up sliding to the side of the mount and jamming it up.
It may be possible, but there are much simpler and safer methods available.

    Verucablue,

sky is a great place to play.  I'll be heading there in less than an hour four L3 and acro balancing. I know it can be hard getting a phone call through.  They are still in a startup phase in the new space and don't always have someone to answer the phone :(.  I hope they got back to you!  One thing to note: they require an intro class before aerials.  They have been known to waive it for people with adequate background and who are only in town for a limited time, but not always.
