    I like heels, but…
    I dunno.

I always seem to peg my legs or scratch myself. Basically if I want to be sexy, I’ll throw on the heels. If I want to get work done, I go barefoot for my safety.

All my pleasers leave little marks on the floor, too. Way not cool, nonslip stuff! So I have to go back around and buff my floor with a teenie cloth! NOT COOL.

the archier your back and the pointer your toes the easier it seems to be.

… I have a really hard time when I don’t shave the back of my legs (even though you can only FEEL the hair back there, not see it. and it still feels soft. LAME.)

To me, it’s a lot like photos on social networking sites like myspace and facebook. If you post a photo once every blue moon you get WAY more attention than if you post your entire vacation every week. Even a provocative photo loses it’s novelty if there are bunches of them. I fully support holding out and making witches miss you enough to ply you with messages saying, "where’s your new video?!"

As a SERIOUS thread killer myself, I commiserate. I am often the last person to grace a thread, and I know it’s because I put something so stupid no one even wants to acknowledge it- at least you can be like, "Well, no one knows exactly how to explain twisted grip". I looked in on your TG thread- I even went to the pole and put my arms in it and tried meekly to lift myself.. but then I came back to the keyboard and was like, "…how the hell else can you try to do it?"

ANYWAYS. Don’t feel bad, you’re noticed and appreciated. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_exclaim.gif

YEAH. I have those ones. I’m so super amazing and flexible, legs are flying everywhere, effortless lifting of my body! It’s kind of like.. JK-esque. Except even more impossible. And I’m always in my house, on my own pole.

    …heee…..
    booty flapping in the wind.
heee… classic! makes me want to get out and run!

Amie from the UK- you’re gorgeous! and I’m glad you’re not too much of a prude to start pole dancing because it is mamazing! I also agree with rouge and think you shouldn’t let your obviously-a-jerk ex boyfriend get to see you dance! Ever! Also any of the jackbooties who hassled you when you were young. Or anyone who wants to ruin your blossoming self image.

    WAH!

You guys are both going to be super-jam in like two months! Seriously. If either of you give up, I’m so coming to your house to beat you up…. well, not really. I’d probably just make a nice competitive offer on your pole.

Elbow stands are good in that you can practice them anywhere. I like to put my legs on the couch, get my elbows into the stand… straighten out my midsection, and then after attempting to slowly raise my legs to no effect- I like to fling them back. If you fall a couple of times.. on pillows, grass, whatever is soft you realize it isn’t that bad.. kind of like how when you were a kid and nothing hurt- except you’re older and sometimes it does.. but it still isn’t that bad. And in an elbow stand, you can’t really fall on your head. Which makes it a thousand times safer than anything else we do.

Cricket- once you get that muscle memory in for your basic moves, they’ll be just as simple as everything else you do regularly. So unless you make a serious habit of falling over yourself while walking (and I’m not talking about basic clumsy, because most of us are!), I’m sure you will be WONDERFUL. It’s just repetition for grace and strength building for ability!

I have a logitech quickcam that I use- it uploads fine…
It may just be the way that you put the quality settings in windows movie maker not working well with however veena’s system processes videos.

I have no tips or tricks, but i’m pretty sure Veena’s system does some kind of compression, so maybe if you just didn’t movie make it? I see you did an uncut dance… so .. maybe that’s it. Worth a test video!

I think if you click "upload video", you get a mini menu with the video’s you’ve already posted.. i think you can delete from there.

I love my PS pole! But I’ve NEVER had sweaty-hand issues, so that may be the deal. I like how you can use an xpole fresh out of the box! You can use the PS out of the box, it’s just SO slippy. Mine was conditioned at the top and middle in no time- the bottom took longer, as I wasn’t doing many inverts or holds that needed the bottom of the pole. Even now, it’s considerably less tacky than the top.

In the winter, with my PS- I usually rub a candle against it. I don’t feel bad about using that particular grip aid because at leaaaast I’m dancing. If my grip suffers, I’ll handle it in the spring. So far, though, it seems just as strong as it was before winter.

Next time I want to get brraaaaass. Titgold looks lovely, but I’m more fond of brass. I’ll get a permanent spinner from PS, probably.

Or maybe I’ll get a titanium gold. Who knows.

I have a PS pole- I’m very fond of it. I know sites have their patron poles- but I find PS to be just as nice as X. I like how the X starts out a lot more grippy than the PS, but I think a nice conditioned PS is supergood. I had a weird event happen with mine (similiar to badazz’s newest pole fall), where myself and the pole both hit the floor together.

I haven’t had any problems aside from that, and I’m thinking that maybe my fear of over tightening caused that to happen in the first place! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

    Anyhoo! PS nice!
