    GET BACK ON THAT POLE.

The first time I got discouraged, I was looking at a video of someone who started the EXACT same time I did, and she was throwing out inverts from all locales. Split grip, shoulder mount, baseball grip, iguana. I was in that ugly baseball grip stage, trying my hardest to work out a split grip. (I still cannot split grip invert, or shoulder mount for that matter! But I think I could fling myself up their if I wanted, I just want the perfect, zero kick off lift)

First I called her many expletives that you shouldn’t call any other woman. Then I looked at her profile. Yeah, you know it. Dance background, iceskating, joined the circus, fitness instructor, contortionist, take your pick. It’s always something like that.

You can’t compare yourself. Some people who have been dancing for a year have been training all their lives. And some people who have been dancing for a year had just broken their life long love affair with the couch. Some people have natural body control. Some people have natural sexiness. Some have years of peddling sexiness in clubs. Some people have enough time on their hands to practice and train all day! Some work and have kids and escape to the pole.

People who take the time to stir doodies on youtube are usually virgin teen boys. Men don’t even get opinions until they’ve reached a certain age. I guarantee if they’re willing to fearlessly talk smack to a woman, they’re not that age. You’re going to take a nasty pimply teen who can’t even begin to imagine the luxuries of you to heart? No way! GET BACK ON THAT POLE

Niiiice extended butterflies! I love that split grip invert to butterfly business. I can’t seem to get the hang of it, but it sure does look lovely!

Buy some sliding closet doors from home depot. you can get a pair for like 70. Tall, framed mirrors to lean against the wall. Or you can always hire a glass man to come and mirror your walls floor to ceiling.

Personally, I would so paint the frames my detail color and get a really sexy light fixture. I’d also put up a nice tasty wall mounted shelf for my pole shoes, and maybe another when I had more, staggered. My pole area doesn’t have windows, so I’d probably hang curtains so I could pretend I had windows.

Here’s where I’d get it all

    homedepot.com for the mirror doors.
lightinguniverse.com for my track lighting fixture…. home depot also has a good lighting selection
overstock.com for window treatments, ’cause they usually have a megaselection.

OH. And I have this fantasy of mounting a straight back chair on my wall that I can take down for chair stuff.

Eh. She’s probably just got weak hands. In my class, there was one girl who had a hand grip issue, and the instructor had her hang in baseball grip with legs up for a very large portion of the end of class each time. At first the girl got calouses, and then she got strong. Her left hand grip was still absolute doody, so I really do think it was an issue of strength. I am a super mega fatty, but I didn’t have any grip issues, so you can tell her that being overweight is probably not the deal.

Another thing.. I think people are different types of oily…. Whenever my husband gets on the pole, I cannot for the life of me hold onto the pole- but it doesn’t appear greasy to the touch, and he can hold on fine with it. But I have to alcohol the pole before I have any hopes of holding on. So maybe a good cleaning between people? I figure it’s the same as windex working for some people and making other people fly off the pole.

    I use
Rhapsody.com for my unlimited downloads. Aside from the stupid realplayer interface, it’s nice. I used to use URGE, but they sold their customers to rhapsody with the creation of the Zune player. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

It’s 12.99 a month, and I think 20 if you want to use it with your portable mp3 players.
