I actually do this alot…not lately as my pole has been too darm sticky to spin around lol. Anyway my trick for it is first to get into a very good floor reverse aysha then as I’m hooking the leg for my floor scorpio I kinda push off on my hands and let my weight fall back. I also use a little momentum from my leg that’s not hooked i.e. throwing it back and around from the forward position it started in. If you don’t start in the floor reverse aysha it’s hard to create momentun because essentially your throwing the leg/weight back as your pushing off the floor. Hope that helps https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Hi Jessie!!! Welcome to the community : )

owe I like that idea! it’s a great way to teach you to dance to different styles of music plus I already have a song in mind lol. Me and my daughter LOVE Gaelic Storm and it’d be so fun to dance to them since I always dance to slow stuff and hard rock.

I’m pretty much the same as Charley. I’ve always taught it first in a half bracket which makes it easier to do with other spins as Charley said. I do however, go back and teach it with a full bracket as more of an intermediate version and to help build strength for full bracket holds/spins.

It’ll stay on may just "crack" a little after awhile….and you are more than welcome to come on up here and get painted up!!! I should really talk to them about making this a group shoot lol.
Is this the guy who does the airbrush painting? I know he was at Kickstand a few times and he was at the Arnold too this year. This guy:

Ummm…yeah, that is all airbrushed. I know I have seen a bunch of his other work but cannot find it right now.
Lol that would be Gio and I’ve seen him do even better than that! When you give him free reign over what he wants to do he goes to town…and he happens to have a few pole skills lol https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif

Lol Sissy…I’ve actually been body painted before and done pole work and for the most part if it’s done right the liquid latex stays on. Chem my friend David who does my pics and I are gonna do a new pole shoot with another friend Giovanni who’s a body paint artist, I’ll have to get you in on it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif As for the gloves I’ve never tried them but I have tried the mighty grip powder and like Sissy I’m a dryhands girl!
If the paint doesn’t stay on maybe it’ll smear off in cool patterns. LOL I wanna go to a super cool body paint photo shoot https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

I wish I could but I’ve not seen it done anywhere. wikipole.org has all the moves listed but as far as a resource that categorizes the move by type and strength level I haven’t found it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif I spent about a month coming up with my own since I like you tried to find something like that. Maybe I’ll have to work on uploading that or something lol.

You will, I know it! It is tricky to get it smooth since your flippin the direction of your body completely. I actually do mine from a pike cause I hate doing it from a gemini so much lol.
Next time I see you you need to show me this. I have yet to figure it out and am not sure if it is due to technique or just my body type/flexibility issues.
Not a problem girlfriend…I find it easier to do and I know with your skills you’ll have no prob doin it!!!!
