yeah i don’t think it’s posted yet either.. this is last year’s thread. but you can always do the previous challenges whenever you want!!

yup everyone’s right! the pain does decrease significantly! however, i still feel lots of pain when doing a new move that requires pressure in a body part that hasn’t been used in the same way for another move. But that decreases with time & practice too. Keep at it & it will get much better!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cat.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cat.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_safesex.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_albino.gif

i’ve never had that happen to me, so i can’t be much help.. maybe you’ve strained a nerve? where does the pain start from? maybe stretching it will help, as well as resting it for a bit. hope someone else has better advice & that you feel better soon! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif

I’m pretty sure that this move is a spinning shoulder mount (when on static mode). I’ve seen angie-scorpio from YT referring to this move with that name. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_santa.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rendeer.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_santa.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bigsmurf.gif

MemberDecember 9, 2009 at 4:47 pm in reply to: STUPID GIRL I AM – I THINK I WANT MY 45mm back!Awww i can imagine how you feel. I had my 50mm for a year before i bought a 45mm, & i notice a HUGE difference. After playing on my 45 for a while, my 50 seems so hard to grip, even though i’ve had it for a year! So i can imnagine how hard it must be for you, having to switch from 45 to 50. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
But really, it’s all a matter of what you get used to.. keep practicing on it no matter how hard it is at first. And your grip will get even stronger than it did with the 45! I have small hands too, & before i got my 45, i was totally fine with the 50. But if you see that it’s still straining you after a while, can you sell the 50 & buy another 45?

I just watched the vid & tried the move. Chilli’s description seems to be right on! I know she already said this, but it’s a detail that could make all the difference for this move:
1) make sure that whichever leg you have behind the pole, you use the same side arm as your bottom arm (in forearm grip, as chilli said).
2) the leg that’s behind the pole means that the top of your foot is against the pole (some people have different views as to which is "behind" & which is "front"). It is THIS leg that will be hooking, so it wont work if it’s in front of the pole. And as you swing your other leg, also use the strength of your arms to push your body away, so that you pick up enough momentum to spin all the way around & down. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gifChilli i’ll be waiting to see your tips after you try it out! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_santa.gif

It’s the pole-move demon/snatcher. It took my cartwheel mount. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif

LOL i just saw the new posts about this after i posted.. why does this always happen to me? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
What Louisax said- typically, the cover should be longer than the part of the adjuster rod that sticks out, which means that the cover is also covering a part of your actual pole. If you have so much adjuster sticking out that it wouldn’t make a difference if you took it off, then you might want to buy another extension. Somewhere in the Xpole pamphlet it tells you how much of it should be sticking out.. the less the better, & the more stable your pole will be. I don’t think it’s that dangerous or anything, but I ended up getting an extension because of this, and now my pole goes practically all the way up, with only like less than an inch of adjuster sticking out. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif
Sissy.. if it’s covering 5 inches of the adjuster rod, how much of your actual pole is it covering?
