Don’t know if you saw this already, but there’s a similar thread posted by lily asking the same type of questions:
https://www.studioveena.com/forum.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_brilsmurf.gif When i watch your videos, i always thought that room with 3 poles was a little studio! You’re amazing for having learned by yourself- i really think you’d be a great instructor- i’ve also noticed you know quite a bit about the physiology of the body! Best of luck!EDIT- ok just realized that link isn’t right. you’ll find the thread under "everything else pole related", and it’s on the second page, titled some like "pole teaching certification". There are a lot of good replies giving lots of useful information!

In addition to stretching everyday, there are other things, especially nutritional, that can help with flexibility.. here are some things that i’ve read (and hope are true so that i’m not giving out flase statements):
1) Caffeine & alcohol hinder flexibility (probably by dehydrating the body), so avoid/limit consumption of both.
2) Drink loads and loads of water so your muscles don’t dehydrate and your joints stay lubricated.
3) Taking spirullina (green algae) vitamins/capsules aid flexibility.
4) Taking MSM capsules (good for joints) in combination with vitamin C helps to repair the tears in your muscles caused by stretching, thus allowing for further stretching more quickly.
5) Eating raw (or as raw as you can) green leafy veggies helps with flexibility, as well as being really good for your body in general.
6) Breathing deeply and slowly while stretching will give better results. Also, push slightly more into your stretch while breathing out.
7) Make sure to warm up before stretching, or stretch at the end of your workout. If anyone has anything else to add please do so, and please correct anything that i may be mistaken on!!!

You should definitely change your passwords, and don’t have the same password for all your accounts.. good luck i hope you can somehow save as much as possible https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

Hi Sissybuns! Lilmisslola has a created a site that includes a pole moves directory with the different names used for many moves : http://www.wikipole.org it’s pretty cool you should check it out!
The spin you’re describing sounds to me like the one i know as the side spin (i did it in my glam rock vid), although i’m not sure.
Where in maryland are you? I grew up there, and still go back once in a while to visit family https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif -

you’re definitely not the only one.. sitting on the pole can be very difficult and painful at first! someone else had posted about this recently, and rouge l’amour (as well some others too i think) had given some good tips about some exercises to help your skin become more resistant to the pain faster.. i don’t remember where it is though, maybe in the pole moves section of the forum? don’t worry though, the pain fades away with practice!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_tongue.gif
